- A description and overview of nine select State & National Park Quarters that you can find in your pocket change. Ignoring silver or any non-error varieties, we take a look at some of the prominent valuable state quarter errors. Whether searching through pocket change or coin roll hunting quarter errors, this video will inform you on what to look for. Some include the Delaware 'Spitting Horse', the Minnesota 'Extra Trees', and even a little-known, $1000+ double-die with a very low mintage!

Thanks for getting right to the point of the video and giving detailed information.
Thanks Sheri!
Thanks for the information and being very thorough hope to see more
Excellent video I found it very informative. Thank you
First three piano keys on the left under the first "E" & "L" in the '09 D.C. quarter are pretty heavily doubled, also, if you didn't see it! Wondering now if it's also visible in the case with the weaker struck "Ellington" double dies, as I've got 3 of them, and I'm excited to go check! Good video, my friend, thank you for the info!
Hey Christian, I know this is one of your older videos, but I am going through my state quarter rolls (about 50 rolls) and this info was very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Great video - very much appreciated!
Thank you for showing us the error
I knew about some but there were some new ones. Thanks!
I've got a Vermont state quarter I'm pretty shure it's a grease strikes error but it looks like a black cat in the tree if you look at it very closely look like the paws are on the branch and looks like a tail and a clad error on the obverse
Good information about what errors to look out for on the state quarters, cheers.
Glad to help!
Great I am taking notes and looking for these in my pocket change.
Best of luck finding one Jonathan!

Hi Treasure Town awesome video keep up the good work and have fun.
Thanks! You too!
How to subscribe?
Thanks for your efforts.
Awesome! I knew about the Wisconsin one, but none of the others. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for these. Also, I have a question about dimes. Sometimes, it looks like the date goes up onto the edge of the dime. Is there anything special about that?
Hmm... not too sure, but likely it's that the specific strike was slightly off center and the date got moved to the edge. Additionally, as time goes on, wear might make the date 'blend' into the side of the coin as everything becomes smoothed over, but again, I don't know exactly. Thanks for dropping in! Any ideas on what error series to do next?
I have found 6 of the Delaware, in various amounts. From not even reaching Cesar Rodney, to all the way to the rim. Is a little “spit” or more spit desirable?
Really enjoying the videos!
Thanks Matthew... great to see you over 5K!
This is a fantastic video! I'm searching for as many error coin videos as possible! You suggested on a previous comment that I get the Cherrypickers Guide, but some of the asking prices are $400 to $500. I've even seen some for over $1,000, that's crazy! I was thinking $20 to $40 for the book! Ugh. I'm hoping to get the Strike it Rich with Pocket Change book for Christmas, but the Cherrypickers Guide (from what I've heard is alot more detailed)!! I'm trying to search as many error videos as possible!! Thank You and
Have a GREAT Day!!!
What??? I thought they were like $20 as well - that's what I bought it for.
@@TreasureTownCoins I got the Kindle version a few years ago on Amazon for almost nothing. YTou might check that out. The reader was (then, at least) free.
Hi I was wondering how to have a few quarters looked at and sell I have been saving for about 3 years.

@@cannonvincenzo4420 what do you mean? And this comment is from a year ago on a coin channel....
Whoa I Have two sets one my mom collected and one I have, I was going to use the quarters for a car wash or laundry now to check little more closer
Go check em out! Probably nothing but there might be something good.
Good afternoon I was looking through my Delaware quarters looking for the spitting horse although I did not find that I did notice that the f I t the word first is barely visible. It looks a lot like the r the word rust. I have looked everywhere for some Info and can not seem to find anything. Do you know where I can find some Info. I have looked at it many times and it's see not worn off it looks like it was barely struck.
I unfortunately don't know a great place but it definitely could be an error.

That is great!
i have a 1999 Georgia peach quarter with no li in liberty and u can barely see uni in united? any info on this coin?
Is it worth anything?
Good afternoon. I am looking for help to identify these error quarters I have
I have an Alaska with the star occurring 11 times in an arc from 1 to 6 on a clock face. No marks on the obverse
Both examples examples you gave are found on the reverse(back) of the coin and not the obverse(front) of the coin like you stated multiple times. Also, the "doubling" on the word UNUM isnt actually a legit doubled die. When the letters or numbers on a coin are incuse, which means sunk into the coins as opposed to raised, they actually will actually look thinner as opposed to a normal doubled die which makes raised numbers and letter look bigger.
Great video. Great information. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed!
well toned, and interesting liked your video....
Thank you I am beginner. That helps a lot thank you again
Great video and right to the point. Thanks
Thanks Kevin!
I have coin of Helen Keller
Where/how do I sell the coins if I find them?
Thank you
I just came across a 2016 Cumberland Gap quarter with no ridges does this mean anything?
If it is a bit smaller than a normal quarter it may have been possibly minted on a nickel planchette
I have a new hamshire quarter where hamshire lettering are thick and kind of smeared any info on that?
Unfortunately no... likely PMD? But maybe something cooler!
Thank you.
That’s the horn on the saddle on the Wyoming It’s the piece you grasp to keep from being bucked off.
Great video

I have a 2008 New Mexico it’s a D. It has so many errors that I can’t even believe it. It’s missing the silver on both sides it was off struck so it’s off centered. The craziest part is that the backside of the quarter is pretty much missing almost everything and you cannot even make out the engravers initials… can some one tell me what to do? I started collecting because of my father 10 days of relentless hunting & I found some jems!
I would ask the pawn shop
Do you have any reports of cuds on West Virginia quarters? Values?
I don't. Values wouldn't be too high but if it's a solid cud you get easily get a few bucks for it, I'd imagine.
I have 7 of the nine you mentioned in addition to other state commemorative quarters in proof like condition. Being new to coin collecting, how do you go about getting them graded? Is that a prerequisite for going to auction? How about if you were to sell to a coin dealer?
Would not having them graded be recommended in order to get a fair price. Some tips about this process would be helpful. Thank you.
Great news on quarters.
Thanks Martha - good luck finding one!
awesome video, I found a 2006-D states Quarter, North Dakota its all copper there is no nickel on the coin. I got it at Safeway in change, do you have any info on this type of coin? thanks
Hey Michael - It could have less plating than it should have.
It is missing the outer clad layer 😲
Got a texas dollar minted for tx bicental.is there any value to this
Unsure... like a commemorative?
Looking through state quarters I found an Alaska quarter with no face detail on bear or fish and bear has no claws you know anything about this
I actually don't. You can always send some photos to me.
I'm enjoying the video
Thanks Mike! Glad you enjoyed.
On the 2012 Denali you said there was doubling on UNUM on the "obverse"...UNUM is on the "reverse" of this coin and is recessed and not raised...just an FYI...good video, keep 'em coming....
Good to know Mike. Definitely the case - this was one of my earlier videos and I very well could have made an error. Appreciate the civil correction (you'd be surprised at the aggressive criticism I occasionally receive). Best of luck finding one of these in change soon!
Your quite welcome...I have found a "Pooping Horse" on the Nevada State Quarter...a good example...
I’ve found the low leaf error and the 2009D ELL doubled die!
Tengo todas estas coras que presentas sin circular
i have 1 coin like that how can i contact you to sell because i am vietnamese
Thanks bro
For sure, glad you enjoyed David.
I love the videos, thanks I have an Ellis Island, where the kid has two mouths, should I get this coin graded?
I am no expert on the most recent doubled die coins. I'm not sure it would be worthwhile to get it graded as I don't know if there is error attribution for it, and a lot of the coins that are slightly doubled don't increase much in value. My advice would be to carefully hold onto it / preserve its condition and revisit in a few years. There's no harm in trying to get it graded though - the worst is you're down somewhere between $15-$30, but I personally wouldn't at this point in time.
If i have cion so were i sale it
How can I sale my 1876 colorado
I got Wisconsin with some come out the cow eye
Hmmm - Don't know too much about that. That's not the well known error people look for.
I have that one delaware
I have the Arizona. The intitals are covered and theres a die crack on the a of America.
Very cool! So glad people are finding these!
Hi I have a 1927 quarter can you tell me the value of that

Hey, are the faint T in god we trust worth anything? Just found 2
If it's gone and the RUST variety, they can be worth from a few bucks to a lot in really good condition.
No the t is very faint on 2 and a 3 rd the go in god and tr in trust very faint
What about a Washington quarter that has GUAM on reverse side
Likely worth 25 cents.
Great job, man. Thank you.
guys i do have the palmetto state 2000 quarter dollar coin south carolina
I thought `1955 was the last double die and i disregarded what was probably an error coin last year.
I made fun of that in God we Rust Quarter when I got it in 2005. Should have kept it. Probably MS then. I had no idea it would be valuable then. Too bad. Great Video. Thankyou.
Oh wow - not a major loss but still cool that you found one.
I have liberty coin....no 5
But who will buy them and why?
What State was the 2009 Double die Reverse?
Jo mama
District of Columbia.
I've got a Denali.
I have state quarter #4 2007.
daddie Villapando myron po ako nyan po mag kno valve
how does anyone even begin to remember all this. im so overwhelmed.
I wonder what the 2009 I have with the doubling on the reverse ell is worth circulated with a long scratch down Washingtons face on the obverse.
Perhaps it's worth what it would cost to have it attributed but it wouldn't be a very high grade at all it would be fair in the uneducated opinion of this novice.
Some of you guys might offer some direction to me perhaps. Does someone like PCGS help you sell the coin after certifying it or do you have to spent a lot of time just to realize a conservative amount from such a coin. If I thought it worth say 500 bucks and my take would be say 300 that would make me a happy hunter.
Don't tell your mom and dad
..i adopted you. THANK YOU. You are my little peacemaker ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
YES!!!!!
There are 56 state quarters coins, The National Parks quarters program not only included national parks, also included national military parks, national recreation areas, national historical shrines, national scenic riverways, national forests, national peace memorials, national ecological preserves, national wild life refuges, national blue ridge parkways, national parks and preserves, national Frank churches of river of no return wilderness, national lakeshores, national historical parks, national monuments, national monuments of America, national seashores, national historical sites, national preserves, and other national sites, i have 4 quarters coins of 2013.
