I work a cash register, I manage tills. I carry extra coins on me and at first my crew was like "lol, dorky coin dude" then I found pennies from 1913 all the way to modern of course, dozens of bicentennial quarters, no cool dimes but 2 silver war nickels.. then I heard about Star Notes? Oh goodness.. just imagine the amount of money that passes through peooles hands on a day to day basis without even knowing

I've been collecting coins 26 plus years and I've come across silver coins but never have I found any error coins or any W quarters yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy to get a silver half, silver quarter, or a silver dime from time to time, but I want a W quarter dang it....lol....Looks like I'm going to have to buy me some. I've held off and held off. What do my coin collecting friends say, wait or go on and buy? Thank you all for listening to me and thank you all that does respond

Where are you located as in which Fed District's jurisdiction do you get change. I'm a relatively new collector and have several w quarters I've found in circulation. I'm always looking for more too. That's so easy to spot for a newbie Ithought everyone who hunts change had some.

I get there man I coin roll in Minnesota and I was looking for a couple months and didn't find W's not buying a huge amount mostly like 50 60 or $70 at one time of quarters, and just two days ago I found my first w so they are out there. In that same bunch I also found an 84 Philadelphia that's a error because the I in "in God we trust" is missing and the third part of the end is missing.

The word Dollar appears from direct look spelt like Lollar and not Dollar.. 2. The end of ponytail of George Washington has no mark like 1980 coin with letters P, D or a Dot. Please advise if the 1973 coin is of any value. I'm from Papua New Guinea and will try and take photo of the coin with a proper camera. My mobile phone photo don't appear properly... When I searched my state quarters I flipped each under scope to check for this error. Didn’t find any as yet. Thanks Blue Ridge

Thanks for the info. I just pulled a 1983 P I set aside out and noticed it is a triple error coin. Rotated obversewith railroading obverse and die Crack between the Nand T in IN GOD WE TRUST. Looks better than Fine condition too. Did I win a golden ticket?

I noticed that there are a lot of fake coins in EBay, even with the grading fake, so be smart , do your research and be careful, I was about to buy a coin but the information says on the box is from San Francisco and the quarter has the mint Mark from Denver, that was a no no, and I found many examples like that

excellent, BR...hey, I found an error or variety on the CT 1999 that is a new discovery, I think it is due to clogged die. I found it on business clad, proof and silver proof issues. it is most common and can be seen in more stages on the regular proof set. I have lots of 1999 sets to compare but also found it in circulated saved coins. I have two silver 1999 sets and it was on one of them. so it seems more like a proof thing due to the different finish; I don't want to give the secret away if I can make something by finding a series of errors. I also found a 1999 DE where Rodney's horse has a disconnected haunch behind the saddle due to polishing the die...there are TONS to be attributed...but I sell raw. what to do? I need a coin agent. ha. cheers.

Good luck with anyone answering that question. The 1999 Conn. State quarter slowly snuck outta the mint and does it change to look like something you find " over the rainbow "?
