      For some reason I can't make my own comment for some reason, forgive me putting this on your pinned.
      But if yall really just want a suppressor, just make one, (not saying I have, atf) but it's "probably" very easy to do, and "probably" alot cheaper then buying one. Plus that's your own fucking business. The government shouldn't have to have a registry on every fucking thing we're doing. Sound reduction will still happen, flash mitigation will still happen, and you'll still be more difficult to detect initially.
      Food, water, purifying water, knowing how to get more food with out making yourself a target, and FUCKING BEING IN SHAPE! Are by far some of the most important things all these idiots who are so hyped about buying 5 suppressors a year, completely over look constantly bc they want to feel like they have the biggest cock in town.
      Have fun being a loot drop if you can't do the basics, but hey at least you looked super cool while you were walking into deaths arms.

      Wanna start off by saying love the channel, for both the comedic approach and the brutal honesty of it all, it’s great fun and great content!
      So, about the video there’s a few things I wanted to say :
      First off, Fuck the atf.
      Secondly, suppressors (legally silencers who gives af what they’re called to be honest) are cool.
      But by no means are they any where near required to go shooting or to plink. They’re mostly applicable to a combat scenario, that’s where people would see the most benefit from a suppressor in my opinion.
      They do cool things though, they can reduce muzzle flash, which is nice at night for a combat scenario to reduce the chance of you being spotted by an enemy of some sort, they can increase your velocity (although usually just by a smidge) in the same way that it can also increase accuracy by reducing the disruption caused by the gasses escaping alongside the round (that’s the simplest and quickest explanation to give) which destabilize the bullet for an incredibly small amount of time until rotation force corrects. At least that’s my understanding please correct me if I’m wrong. And of course suppressors also dampen and spread the sound of the shot so it’s harder to place where exactly the shot came from, and makes the shot somewhat more pleasant on the ears.
      Which is why I like them and want more. And why I think it’s dumb af that the ATF is openly allowed to infringe upon the 2nd amendment any chance they get by making illegal laws outside of the actual legislative branch which is supposedly the only branch that has the power to make laws… anyways…
      God bless, peace out, all that good stuff.

Yeah, it’s not like the incessant screaming that happens when people start getting shot is going to let anyone know what’s happening, right? That will be totally silent. Lol. You know what else is silent? A knife. A sword. There are multiple instances of massacres in China where a crazed person killed dozens of people with a knife. Maybe they should put a horn on knives in case they are used in a mass stabbing, right? How about the incident in Nice, France. A guy ran over close to 200 people in a truck. Perhaps they need to stop muffling car engines so that if they are used to do the same as above, you can hear them. Right? You people really operate on archaic and faulty arguments you heard from someone else and have no problem repeating them like a parrot. No, suppressors don’t need to he regulated, no matter how effective you think they are at mitigating sound pressure levels. It doesn’t “save lives” to regulate something in the case that it is used in an already extremely rare mass shooting event. The screaming will be quite loud enough to alert people. Lastly, you’re arguing for regulation of something in the event that is used in a situation that results in less than .00009% of recorded deaths in a year. Suppressors don’t allow what you are saying and even if they did, so what? You’re going to beg for another grown adult to control what you can and cannot own because another person uses it for evil ends. Sonic cracks are usually around 120-130 decibels, an unsuppressed rifle muzzle blast is over 160 decibels, a suppressed rifle muzzle blast is around 140 decibels. Suppressors make rifles nicer to shoot, even if you are already wearing hearing protection. 9:02 They’re awesome.

  • @Michaelelus
    @Michaelelus Před 4 měsíci +53

    The fact is that exposure to sound levels above 140 dB, even for just a millisecond, can cause permanent hearing loss. This phenomenon, known as noise-induced hearing loss, is thoroughly researched and lacks controversy. Your 5.56 AR15 far exceeds this level.
    I own a range of suppressors, from 9mm to .338, and they are all quite loud, significantly above safe hearing levels (Around 85db or less). Even my suppressed MP5 is noticeably loud, with the bullet exiting the barrel at supersonic speeds and not all gas being captured. Being deaf is not a sign of toughness, just makes you a dummy if you did it willingly.
    While suppressors can reduce noise, they do not eliminate it completely, so protect your ears.

    I bought a suppressor for a few different reasons. 1) I wanted it and it looked cool. 2) I am already legitimately deaf in my left ear and have hearing damage to my right ear. I'll still be wearing ear pro at all times even while shooting suppressed. 3) I had previously shot a bunch of different suppressed guns owned by friends or fellow range goers and I noticed they had a similar effect to muzzle brakes without also being ridiculously loud. I previously could not tolerate brakes due to aforementioned ear problems that have been an issue for me since childhood. People have tested suppressors vs muzzle brakes while removing the human factor using mechanical fixtures and they've found that a good brake results in like 35% recoil reduction while a suppressor is like 15-18%, for me that is enough combined with the other features.
    I do not own body armor or nods. i don't even care about those things. I could buy them if I wanted to because I have a really good job now, maybe not youtuber good but it eventually will be. Eventually I'll own my own machine shop that produces guns and parts for guns.
    Tl:dr, I wanted it so I got it and therefore I am right and you are wrong, suck on that smooth brain.
    Edit: Honestly, your argument that people should focus on their finances and stuff is a very good one. I am constantly telling people not to buy cheap guns like PSA. Save up and buy a BCM or a DD. Just save $100 every check and you'll have a good gun in no time. Don't let $400 burn a hole in your pocket. You will enjoy it much more and you'll be able to pass it on to your kids. Nods and armor is a complete meme for most people.

    I’m a 23 year old gun owner and Ima use part of your wisdom I got from one of your older shorts talking about saving for the real thing instead of buying a knock off as soon as possible. Nvg’s fun completely unnecessary expensive , body armor fun completely unnecessary expensive. Silencers are cheap compared to nvgs and body armor and run about the same price as a mid range priced handgun. I only own two guns and they both have silencers and to some people that’s weird but if I said I had four guns that would be normal when it’s about the same price. If I can afford to save up for a 1,200$ handgun and a 1,300$ ar15 it’s stupid to think a 900$ silencer for a hand gun and a 700$ silencer for a rifle is for the rich and old, like saving up for something you like is out of the realm of possibilities. Your opinion is solid to me you don’t need my confirmation or validation obviously but this one draws outside the lines of your usual narrative in my opinion because it’s super easy to justify an attachment that can easily cost less or the same as an optic.

    I mostly can't justify spending at least a 1000$ for a peice of equipment that should really be no more than 100$ and wait months for a tax stamp.
    The hearing argument doesn't make sense to me. If I go to the range I can just wear those electronic head phones. And I have had to shoot a firearm without ear pro and NY ears are fine. At least from the very few times I did it. Ya maybe if I was in a position where I had to shoot with no ear pro over long periods of time, but... 99.99% of the population isn't doing that.
    But yes. I'm not going to live pay check to pay check pretending like there is any real possibility a Spetsnaz assassin team is gonna get me in an L shaped ambush on my way to the grocery store. Whats actually possible is a crack head robbing me or breaking in looking to steal shit to sell for his next hit. Don't need a supressor for that.

    • @thinkharder9332
      @thinkharder9332 Před 4 měsíci

      . If I go to the range I can just wear those electronic head phones.
      -Are you doubling up?
      Because just plugs with larger volumes will still accumulate damage. If you wear just muffs, and the seal breaks, you get another few cilia broken.
      And I have had to shoot a firearm without ear pro and NY ears are fine.
      -Hearing loss is cumulative. It adds up little by little until you start having to ask people what they said for the 5th time and realize how loud the ringing is when everything around you is quiet.

      Lmfao you're dreaming if you think a suppressor should cost $100. Maybe a fuel filter one 😂. And if there was no NFA they would cost even more because demand would go up. NFA keeps demand down bc people are intimidated by the process

    • @thinkharder9332
      @thinkharder9332 Před 4 měsíci

      @@rodiculous9464 NFA inflates the price because we already know there's places where cans aren't a hassle to get and they're comparatively cheaper.
