I just threw my sister in law her baby shower, I spent 4 hours making a balloon arch, and we played baby trivia games. I thought it was nice we had punch AND mimosas. I threw it in my parents house bc it’s bigger than mine. My thank you gift to guests were rose keychains cuz the baby’s name is Rosie. I still think my party was better than Meghan’s.

Meghan doesn’t understand that the $30,000 designer purse holds her phone, lipstick and wallet the same way a $30 purse does. She wears her insecurities and depends on others to provide her worth that she will soon discard. She is one to be pitied. She will never stop looking for her value to be displayed while never understanding she needed to look within to find it. A life not lived.

Prince Philip was not afraid to walk behind the Queen. No matter your gender, it is about supporting the primary and having enough confidence to do that, still coming out with your own personality in tact. Prince Philip was famous for his hilarious personality. He had no problem being the comic relief, he was extremely well respected, except for a few gaffes. But he was a man of his time.

I don’t find it weird that she wanted a shower. What’s weird is that she would have in a different country and she didn’t invite anyone from her family. Where is her mother? Her sister? Cousins? No in-laws? No Queen? No Camilla? I thought she and Catherine squashed the beef. Catherine couldn’t come? Much like her wedding to Prince Harry, this “baby shower” was hardly such. It is was just a networking event.

Baby showers are a relatively new thing in the UK, and no - it might not be weird that MM wanted one, but she should not have flaunted the extravagance and ostentatiousness of it as she did. Royals just don't behave like that. They are wealthy in their own right, and we know that, but they don't shove their wealth in our faces in a sort of Marie Antoinette 'let them eat cake' fashion (albeit that is a distorted story!). That spectacle of a baby shower was on the same par as MM having the seats around her at Wimbldon cleared of spectators, or the bar staff at the Ripple of Hope awards being told that they mustn't even look at her, much less speak to her. It's celebrity behaviour at its most gross and delusional, and it is about as far away from royal behaviour as it's possible to get.

Lack of discipline, laziness and ignorance are always in the way in her case. Truly sad , it’s easier to raise a child boosting his or her ego to the hilt an d hoping it’ll work fine in the end than putting the effort to prepare a responsible, honest human being.
It does says a lot about the adults in her upbringing.
It’s amazing how far she’s managed to go with all her antics, but she’s unable to make it stick long enough.
Therefore the unraveling is soon approaching and as it was said before “it will end with many tears “. The children are the real casualties in all this mess, no consideration at all for the two innocent souls.

By the way I dont think anyone would have denied her having a "baby shower" in London if it was held as a charity event with all gifts being given to a charity that gives essentials to mothers and children in need. The Royals would frown upon any member having a personal baby shower because they know the public would see it as a rich person who could buy anything a baby needs making a money grab ( or a luxury goods grab)

I am so disappointed that Amal Clooney has shown herself to be this shallow. Mostly because she obviously had a superb publicist when she met, dated and married George. I had been impressed with her work as a very effective international human rights lawyer. But since she married, has she even continued with that part of her life???? I haven't heard anything about her at all unless connected to Hollywood. I really have lost the respect I had for her. And throwing in with MM played a huge part in that respect disappearing.

Those actors don’t shout about their charitable efforts of which there are many unlike Meghan forever talking about her charitable efforts, what has she actually achieved other than talk?

I have no dog in the hunt, but just my two cents re Lady C’s books: I listened to “Meghan and Harry: The Real Story” on audible. I went in squinting and skeptical and was absolutely astonished at how well written, tactful, balanced, and interesting it was. In fact, it was so good, that I immediately picked up “The Real Diana” which was even better. I truly feel that you would benefit from actually reading the books yourself, either here or in private. I can see why you have misgivings and how you may have formed that opinion from some of her videos as I suspect she’s really just totally over it with Meghan and Harry. I’d be delighted if you gave one of the books I mentioned a chance, and despite having already read them, I’d follow along here to get your reliably humorous take on things.
I’m glad you plan to continue with content regarding the royals as I admit that is why I’m here. Wallace Simpson would be an interesting one to look into next. Looking forward to whatever you choose to do next!

She did not paint her as a hero or a villain but just a person with both positive traits and flaws. I believe it may be the most accurate presentation of her and in terms if the critical parts, the kindest. She would not be able to past the general test on history, civics etc. She had no interest. Her plans to leave were made before wedding as she had already organised Oprah interview. Which she could never do while a Royal. She called us racist for her own gain, and she knows nothing about the UK, despite us paying for her existence while here, which she thought was an unlimited bank account. Charles must have had a huge shock when seeing the bills.
Since she regarded the wedding that cost £40 million a spectacle, and her every demand was catered, she should pay Charles back. Citizens paid for security. Then to lie about the Archbishop of Canterbury marrying them 3 days before, shoes her total disrespect.
Since she and Harry have come very close to committing treason, don’t think she would be allowed citizenship. Poor US had to put up with Harry, but they too are blessed since H wouldn’t take up a US citizenship since he’d lose financially. All they care about is money .

I don't watch that many of Lady C's own videos, but I have read several of her books. I would say that they are a needed counterbalance to the myths that have built up around some of the more iconic royal figures. The counterbalance is needed in the interests of truth and fairness. Reputations have been quite badly damaged by one-sided accounts - in particular those about Diana - and I feel that Lady C's books help to show all sides of the story.
Her book about the Queen Mother - another iconic figure in her time - was quite an eye opener, and worth reading for a wider view on Edward and Mrs Simpson.

Why are wealthy people even having baby showers? Showers are for people starting a new phase in life to get the accoutrements to do so with out taking a huge financial hit: a bridal shower is supposed to help a new bride get equipped to set up housekeeping. A baby shower is to help new parents onto the road of child rearing. Heck I was raised thinking showers for second weddings and second babies were kind of tacky. And I didn’t even know rich people had ‘showers’. I know this is Meghan’s first baby, but it’s not like she didn’t have the resources to get herself ‘kitted out’ as they say across the pond.

The baby shower is one if those bits that weirdly, probably disproportionately, pisses me off a ton, LOL. I guess it's just symptomatic of so much that's wrong with Nutmeg. She has no ties to NYC. Why have it there? (Not to mention, where is your family still? Where is your mother? Who are half of these people?) We all know why. It was about networking, prestige, and being on display. The whole thing was a merching event. Presents, open, or in labeled boxes, being Price-Is-Right-ed their way in through the front of the freaking hotel! Serena Williams hawking her own crap even on social media in relation to the baby shower. Meanwhile Meghan has her royal protection officers with her and was riding around in an SUV with diplomat's tags. It became such a circus that the NYC police had to be there to keep control of it all. So that baby shower cost NYC and British tax payers a pretty penny.
Oh, but they donated the "used" flowers after the fact... and then the jet back. And then this person has the nerve to use questions and criticism of all this as **breathy sigh** just another example of people unjustifiably bashing her *AND* her poor, dear friends. And how can people be upset when it was just *her friends* throwing her a baby shower? That's literally what she says on Netflix. And then they shipped The Harkles off to Morocco. Another dud outing for them where Meghan really showed her ass on so many levels, (ignoring protocol, her spending etc.,) I knew all of this was bad. But when you get the context, the background, the attitude and you're examining these events in order, whoa boy, it's all so much worse than I even knew at the time.

Baby showers weren’t really a thing in the UK, ESPECIALLY for royalty. It’s seen as gift-grabby & tacky in certain circles. So for Meghan, a Duchess, to be basically throwing herself a luxury baby shower-the modern baby shower originated in the US in the 50s to “shower” the new mother with much needed gifts for the baby. Meghan flew to NYC because it wasn’t going to happen in London. It wouldn’t have been as gross if instead of gifts she requested donations/gifts be given to a mother/baby charity. That would be the humanitarian activist thing to do.

To be fair, when she declared the Queen dead first before any other news outlet or the RF themselves, it was later disclosed that the RF asked her to do just that -- in order to cut MM and Harry of at the pass. The RF was worried that MM and Hawwy were going to stick themselves in the center of the narrative. So perhaps they likewise gave the wink-wink to Lady C to reveal the cancer diagnosis too. She has their trust and lots of connections.

She would've been happy just being David's mistress. Both she and her husband benefitted from that. But David fell hard for her, and things ramped up to a level that Wallis never intended. I can see a similarity between David and Harry -- weak men who needed a mother figure. David's mother had been so distant. So they both fell for women with much stronger personalities.

I feel as though the idea of feminism can turn into a very strange, insecure phenomenon. One where people feel the need to posture and perform this idea of "it doesnt matter what the reasoning or end result is as long as women are put on a pedestal and they also do what I personally like". I consider myself very feminist, but I always try to make sure that the core of what I believe isnt hypocritical. Im straight, I have a husband, and as a feminist I feel that we should be partners and equally supporting one another in the ways we individually want to be supported. I dont need to tear down my partner in order to feel more empowered. I dont need him behind me. Hes really good at certain things, and I'm really good at other things. There are some things I dont want to do but he doesnt mind doing, like killing bugs in the house. I can obviously do it, I just dont want to. I cook more because I like cooking more, but when I dont have the bandwidth for cooking, he does. I enjoy his masculine energy because its what I personally like. Some women prefer other traits and thats fine. My feminism also says that any gender has the capacity for good and bad leadership. Being nurturing or not. Even if there are certain trends we often see, no group is a hive mind where everyone acts the same. I also think its none of my business if a woman wants to be a sahm or have an intense career. People do different things and have different goals. And sometimes, people want to take care of a woman they know because they want to, not because they dont think she can take care of herself. My husband might go get the oil changed in my car, not because he thinks I cant do it, but because he loves me. I dont have to feel threatened by these things. Im secure in my own strength. To me, theres a level of insecurity and self centeredness in MM's feminism that makes me uncomfortable. And it leads to shocking things like her saying that men being victims of genocide opened more opportunities for women in Rwanda. The number of women in office there is a result of something terrible that happened before, not a "benchmark" to be followed because of "womens empowerment". Excuse my rambling rant 😂

I bet there was alot of food wasted. Why the need for a 5 bedroom suite!!!!! Why not have it in her's or another one? The nastiness of how frivolous her suite was, the cost of the party and the suite that it was held in is beyond uncouth.
Who needs 3 publicists? Why the need for barriers for the press? Why did Meegain leave the hotel when she was staying therel? £325,000 for a party for 15 super shallow people? That is just excessively gross.
The people attending, I've never heard of except Jessica (what's her worth to Meegain?), Serena Williams, and Oprah special friend Gayle. People are just so awful to have no problem using each other for image, career elevation and greed. Why did Gayle even get a raise? She just went to a party. No photos, no interview. Just hearsay? Why does anyone think Oprah has power? She only has power that people let her. Fools.
Oh, that Morocco trip she wore a.........are you ready?........ a Dior gown (plain) that cost almost £100,000 / $$119,114.

Those who use it because they can't find more accurate words, degrades what true racism is and degrades all those brave souls who fought so hard for civil rights. Especially, when it's used to defend a privileged wealthy woman being horribly financially excessive, rude, crude, mean, horrible and entitled (amongst other terrible behavior.).

I completely agree with you. Because we actually have lives that we’re living, we weren’t aware of Meghan’s diabolical lunacy. Or anything the couple was up to.

I had to pause to tell you that I LOVE your videos. I came across them about 3 weeks ago and I’m glad YT suggested you. I even went back to watch your Spare Me videos. So glad you Spared Me. I hadn’t listened to it and had no desire to listen to Harry’s book. I use Audible, because I like to listen while I’m driving and already had listened to Revenge, but I’m glad to hear your views on it. I even had YT open while driving (not watching, just listening), and my husband would get a kick out of you, too. He’s not into the whole Royal Family like I am, but he likes to hear interesting stuff. When I told him the book you are doing on the weekends, he knew exactly who Hunter S. Thompson was.
Last year I listened to 2 books about David and Wallis. They were “17 Carnations” by Andrew Morton and “That Woman” by Anne Sebba. I can’t remember if they were any good, but since I finished them I’m guessing they were good. I’ll turn off if I can’t get into it. Another topic would be King George VI and the Queen Mother. I love their story. “George VI and Elizabeth” by Sally Bidell Smith came out earlier this year and I listened to it and it’s just a beautiful story. No drama, but I think we get enough of that from H&M.
Ok, now back to watching your video for today. I knew I’d forget to comment if I didn’t right away. ❤

Anne Sebba's book That Woman is a great read that changed my view on the whole Wallis and Edward story. I also read The Traitor King which I would highly recommend.

@@cheeredeniseI disliked Traitor King immensely. I believe Lonnie deliberately took a lot of information out of context and derived many conclusions based on faulty assumptions. Both Bloch and Ziegler are better. Love Anne Sebba’s book on WS. Thanks for the great videos!

Mememe could have endeared the public to her by taking that money for a 'global baby shower ' ,bought that much in gifts given to the poor and marginalized. She would have outpaced any philanthropic person on record.

I agree. Besides, she’s not really a philanthropist. Her meager attempt at philanthropy is just a form of facade management.
