- Unboxing Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10S, one of the best-specced budget smartphones of 2021 costing under £200. This hands-on review covers the quad camera tech, gaming performance on CODM and runs through the specs and features of the Redmi Note 10S. Is it a Poco X3/M3 rival?
This affordable phone offers some strong features for that low asking price (£159 in the UK). You've got an AMOLED screen (although only 60Hz), stereo speaker setup, headphone jack, plus expandable storage via microSD. Performance is good enough for light gaming, with PubG and other online titles. Plus the 5000mAh battery supports 33W charging and can deliver all day play, no worries.
The Redmi Note 10S camera is quite basic, struggling in low light and strong light also. But it's fine for everyday shenanigans and can shoot 4K video. Of course, how you feel about Xiaomi's MiUI 12 launcher will also factor into your impressions on the Note phone.

Had 10s since october and it's the best phone I had so far. The battery easily lasts around almost 2 days, hasn't slowed down, cameras are great.

Best budget phone, I think. Time to replace my mi a1 I've had for over 3 years, which is still running flowlessly. I think Xiaomi is 👑 in the budget friendly realm.

Love your phone reviews, really useful for us here in the UK. However it was a big plus that you reported on volume levels. Apparently the Xiaomi M11 Lite 5G is sadly lacking in the volume department so if music/gaming/movies/CZcams are your thing then lack of oomph In the headphones will be a real deal breaker

Great review as always and a fantastic budget phone with Full HD+ AMOLED screen. Camera shots a little bit disappointing otherwise a real winner. Punch hole camera should be on the left side as Chris mentioned, it's less intrusive down on the screen in landscape mode when watching movies or playing games.

Hey... There is few complaints that there is contrast problems while watching videos in apps like CZcams... Can you please check to see if there are any issues like that?
@@RoGersVision i dont have a contrast problem anywhere but i have an issue when i play a video in yt with high quality when i pull down my notification menu it's lagging

This phone is almost identical to the Realme 8. Same CPU, Same GPU. Same screen. Especially when you get the version with the same 6GB ram.
A warning to anyone that considers buying this phone while it is a pretty good phone for the price it heats up alot if you play games like genshin impact or db legends on it they will run but I wouldn't recommend playing for multiple hours

Note 10s seems to be a part of Android Enterprise program and it should get security updates til April 2024.

Just got this phone and so far like it. But i upgraded from a 4 year old huawei phone that was already meh at the time i bought it so everything was better. The always on display confuses me tho.
You can keep AOD on for longer by becoming a developper and dan turn off optimization. At least at MiUI 12.5. At 13 they removed it it seems
i wonder why they omitted the gyro stabilization on this one when its predecessor the note 9s had it

It's good just heating problem but it's fixable memory extension turn off and other stuff and your good to go Fortnite any game plays 👍😊

i heard to solve the heat problem that you need to disable game turbo/certain setting, idk what setting it is but it does help it's heating issues
