    Chop Suey is a super popular Chinese American dish. In Chinese, it’s called Za Sui (雜碎). Here's the written recipe: cicili.tv/chicken-chop-suey-recipe/

    A fridge clean-out dish - I love it! Little bits of leftovers become a tasty meal. I never knew that's what chop suey was lol. I know what's for dinner tonight. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Miss CiCi!

    I need a wok so bad! The dishes I put out are so good looking! I really love the video you put with the 5 different sauces, for a beginner as myself what are your top ingredients to have on hand when making any sauces, for dipping and adding to your dishes when cooking? Thank You Cici😊

      That's a great question! I'm also thinking about making the topic into a video. For Chinese food, just get soy sauce and oyster sauce. Then you can turn anything into delicious Chinese food. If you wanted to make it fancier, then also get sesame oil, chili oil, rice wine, and rice vinegar.☺️🥢

    I also for some reason thought it was a American-Chinese dish. But it has some chinese roots. Chao za sui. With my basic understanding of mandarin, it translates to something like "fried mixed chopped pieces". It's like an impromptu use of whatever you have on hand stir fry. Most wok-tossed dishes are fried chopped pieces with different flavor profiles.Even chef Martin Yan said the same, it's all chopped mixed pieces, or "chop suey".

    I thought Chinese don't use Olive Oil with Chinese dish?

    • @CiCiLi
      @CiCiLi  Před rokem +1

      I used extra light olive oil, which is a type is high smoking point oil. It's actually perfect for high-heat cooking. Enjoy and happy cooking!

      @@CiCiLi I'm just kidding Cicili, cause I just remember one Chinese/ American YT channel I watched, he said he never used Olive Oil in Chinese dish. You know him for sure. I always checked first YT before I cook it if I'm not familiar or I forgot. Which I did today. Okay, you also, keep it up!
