I have 2 springfields...a loaded Marine Corps Operator and a plain mil-spec. They are both great guns and good value. I think the best value 1911 is the Magnum Research in 10mm.
I saw a used Springfield 1911 RO Elite Operator 10mm at my local gun shop for $800 a few months ago and decided to grab it. I thought I got a bum deal as I got a box of Sellier and Bellot ammo and had jam after jam. Turns out it was just the ammo. Ran Armscore, Winchester and Magtech and it is flawless. Went to the range with a work buddy and let him shot it. Now he wants one. It's the 10 mill itch.
I have 3 Springfield 1911's including a mil-spec one which is my carry gun once in awhile. The mil-spec cost around 550 dollar's, a lot of companies make 1911's under a thousand dollar's, but none of them are as good as the mil-spec. A friend of mine has some high end 1911's but he has 4 mil-spec one's because they are so good. I've been a revolver guy for 40+ year's and still carry one or two at a time. But when I carry a 1911 it's my Ronin in 45acp. My son has a custom made 1911 that was built by an arm's maker he knew while vacationing in Iraq. Our gunsmith say's it's the best firearm he's ever seen and he's my age. Every time we walk in he gets a smile. His 1911 is so good even I can hit the target. ( Lol ). Enjoyed your video. I bought a lot of Springfield 1911's this year and among them was a Range Officer Elite Operator 10mm just like the one you reviewed. I love it and the 10mm cartridge. This Springfield is every bit as good as my Delta. Definitely a great buy!!

Great purchase Smash ,but still killing me , this 1911 flawless. That last top line issues. I have 2 Uplula. Pmr-30 can actually load 30 without rim lock and other will load 9mm, 45acp ,40sw, 10mm. Single or double stack. Thanks Smash

I have watched so many videos from R.I.A. to Dan Wesson and plenty of others. I'm more undecided now than before I started BUT this one..... if I can find it in stock anywhere, might be EXACTLY what I'm looking for!
Haha I’m doing the opposite. I started with a 1911 10mm and am wanting a Glock 20 now. Or Springfield XDM 10mm but those are harder to find in my area. Lol love my 1911 had zero problems so far
As the saying goes. U won't know till you, find out yourself 💯. So I am willing 2 pay Springfield Armory, the price 4 the RO in 10mm 💯. I hope ammo, will be plentiful 🤔

That s&b 10mm is crap. Back when people were having issues with 10mm kabooms. It was all reloads or s&b 10mm. I won't buy any of there ammo
