7 years after Socialist World Republic was released it comes back, fighting fit for 21st century, now with HD 1080p format and many small improvements.
Little game for you: Without reading the comments, make a comment and write down all the changes you have noticed between this video, and the old Socialist World Republic uploaded in 2008. No need to be too specific. For example instead of writing: A red Star and a red halo have been added behind AK-74 at 01:40, it's enough to say: Special effects added at 01:40. Then compare with other answers, or come back later to see what others noticed.
So how many changes will you find? I am looking forward to your comments.
This movie portrays two ideologies fighting each other. The ideology which rewards successful individuals (success isn't hard work. Don't be mistaken. Success means being born into nobility, or a rich family as well as finding opportunities how to exploit others for personal gain and lacking the conscience to walk over corpses in doing so) and the ideology that grants irrevocable rights and opportunities to all people in its society, which rewards hard working people no matter their origin, where a good teacher or a good mechanic is equally highly regarded and respected as a good doctor. This is a society where absolutely everyone, without exception gets access to the same level of health care as the president or prime minister of the country.
Plot:
The story lends heavily from the history of the 20th century, referencing the allied intervention in Russia starting in 1918 as well as the invasion of Nazi Germany into Soviet Union in 1941. The AK-74 is a reference to the fact that the struggle continued in the form of the Cold War. Towards the end of the video, which takes place at least 100 years from now, you can see that the spread of socialist ideals together with technological progress led to a shift in Europe from European social democracies towards democratic socialism, which created a domino effect as socialism soon spread to other countries and eventually consolidated by forming the Socialist World Republic that ensures a comfortable living standard and a life in dignity for everyone.
Video: The Maggot King, desperate to acquire even more wealth looks for new opportunities. And these opportunities lie in the east, where the people have still not been enslaved by the greedy empires. Producers (Pigs) are happy about a possible war, because a war means government contracts and profit, as well as slave workers brought in from the east. The war minister and generals (Spiders) are happy as well, because a war means that they will wield more power and be even more respected.
This is only good for them, but not for 99% of the people. They will gain nothing from a war, only suffering and death. Unwilling to go to war, the government brainwashes them turning them into brain-dead fleas and so they assault the Soviet Lands despite dying by the millions and not gaining anything from it.
However soviet people are determined to liberate their motherland from the white empires influence in 1918. Because only when the red flag is victorious, free from foreign influence only then they will have the opportunity to groom their land into a prosperous one. With their red flags they enlighten the fleas who are able to think freely once again and turn back to humans. As such, they turn their rifles against their rulers and stop fighting their comrades. In 1941 when the fleas of the maggot king swarm over Soviet Union it is a question of life and death. If the people had not driven them into hell, the hell would have swallowed them.
Looking back to the 20th century, it was a bloody and extremely violent struggle that cost millions of lives. Over these hundred years there were many violent and non-violent revolutions, there were elections and there were reforms. Ultimately, despite setbacks, in the 100 years of the previous century life has improved considerably and the societies in many countries of the world became much more equal than before. Even now the struggle for socialism is still not over. There are more setbacks ahead of us, but there will be many victories outweighing the setbacks, shifting the society in the right direction, towards democratic socialism. The road to victory is long, however one day our victories together with the victories of our ancestors such as the (great socialist october revolution) and our children will culminate in the formation of a Socialist World Republic.

We shouldn't measure if a country is socialist depending on whether the red line go up, but yes, the economy of the eastern bloc was in better shape than western propaganda wants you to believe. It gets even worse when you realise how treuhand sold all formerly state owned industries to private companies in west Germany that dismantled them even if they were productive just to avoid competition, leaving 4 million people unemployed. It was even worse in the SSSR.
@Egg T the economy in the US in 1928 was in good shape aswell, yet only a year later it was completely collapsed. Things can change quickly. I never said it was in good shape either, just better shape than it is portrayed as in the west. You'll find alot of people in the former east bloc who will tell you that that life used to be better before the fall of the soviet union. Everything worked, everyone had work and a home, there was practically no poverty. They couldn't buy everything, but at least they could fulfill their needs. As I said, this isn't socialism, just high welfare.
