      The concept of "Blitzkrieg" didn't exist in rhe 3rd Reich. They acknowledged that the Allied Forces used this term to describe the Nazi tactics but also noted this to be weird.
      "Blitzkrieg" was never used in the German military command. It was only popularized post-war by the myth of the "german war-machine" while in reality a vast majority of their military were simple cavalry and infantry troops. They didnt have nearly as many tanks as mainstream culture makes you believe - and even the ones they had were terrible - constantly breaking down before seeing battle.

    Мы - будущего верные бойцы, мы - рабочие Вены.
    Так лети, пылающее красное знамя, впереди по дороге, по которой мы идем!
    Мы - будущего верные бойцы, мы - рабочие Вены.

    • @f-man3274
      @f-man3274 Před 3 lety +58

      Was interested also and searched for the answer. It seems, the SDPs fighters from Schutzbund were fighting with communists against the government (however the party itself was against it). So, though communist banner would be probably more appropriate, the arrows still can be relatable

    • @user-op2hi3tz5o
      @user-op2hi3tz5o Před 3 lety +24

      The three antifascist arrows are clearly anti-communist. They originate from a well known poster the SPD made back in the 30s with the slogan "gegen papen, gegen hitler, gegen thälmann" since armed struggle against the freikorps was against the SPD's and Hindenburg's political line

    • @arno2083
      @arno2083 Před 3 lety +35

      @@user-op2hi3tz5o The three arrows were created a year before that poster by marxists Sergei Chakhotin and Carlo Mierendorf and was not originaly meant to be anti-communist. The symbol was reinterpreted several time by varius anti-fascist, anarchist, socialist, and communist groups.

    • @coolapple6592
      @coolapple6592 Před 3 lety +8

      It was the symbol of a german pro-republican unification by the "Reichsbanner schwarz-rot-gold" (the "ancestor" of it which was made in the early years of the weimar republic by the social democrats, the catholics and the liberals, to protect it), the sports society of the SPD (SPD=Socialdemocratic Party of Germany) and the labor unions. The goal of the "Iron Front" (which was It's name) was, to protect the weimar democracy in a very active way. These three arrows can either be interpretated as the three parts of the Iron Front which I mentioned earlier in this comment, or as three arrows who hit the enemies of democracy. The monarchists (primarily represented by the "German National people's party" (DNVP as the german acronyme), the National-socialists who were of course represented by the "National Socialist German Worker's Party" (NSDAP) and mostly personificated by Adolf Hitler. And, last but not least, the communist party of Germany (KPD) which had Ernst Thälmann as the leader in It's last years in the weimar republic. Plus: if you draw these arrows over a swastika, which was the symbol of the Nazi-Party, it totally destroys the swastika. So yes, it was it was the symbol of a social democratic party, but no, it was not in Austria, it was in Germany.

In the end, the Jewish father and his eldest son, surviving the holocaust, become Communist while his younger son does not agree with them. So now I think the Austrian workers party is communist and this is based off that Russian song. It was also mentioned that there was a border in Austria, so yes.

    Somos los que construyen el mundo que viene,
    Somos el sembrador, la semilla, y el campo,
    Somos el segador de la cosecha que viene,
    Somos el futuro y somos el acto,
    Entonces brinda tu ardiente, escarlata bandera,
    Illumina el sendero delante de nosotros,
    Somos los soldados fieles del futuro,
    Somos los trabajadores de Viena,
    Señores de las fábricas, señores del mundo,
    Al fin cayerá su dominio ensangrentado,
    Nosotros, el ejército que da luz al futuro,
    Rompemos las cadenas que nos atan todos
    Also, there are a couple of mistakes in the English translation. “Voran dem Wege, den wir ziehen” would probably be better translated as “forge the paths ahead of us”, or perhaps “illuminate the course we must chart”. The red flag here is a sort of synecdoche for the vanguard Communist Party, which is supposed to guide the proletariat in building socialism. “Before the paths we pull” doesn’t make sense in English, and voran is an imperative here as I understand it, not a preposition, but if there are native German speakers who disagree they’re probably in the right.

    • @Alexander-tx4bw
      @Alexander-tx4bw Před 2 lety +8

      Native Austrian here, I would like to add some more information to your already very thorough explanation. The imperative in the sentence is
      „flieg“. „Voran“ is indeed an adverb, meaning „ahead“ or „at the front“. The sentence as a whole could therefore also be translated as „So fly, you flaming, you red banner, ahead on the way we take!“
