If you're making anything with HDRP, this is definitely worth 1 hour of your time.
This is honestly the first time I have fully watched an hour long youtube video without skipping anything.
    Good job unity!

A Perfect video I must say, after spending all that time on youtube finding the perfect hdrp tutorial Unity finally came up with one themselves - Thank you
PS - We need more videos like these for beginners out there, for whom diving into hdrp for the first time is too overwhelming. This certainly clears it up.

my comment: The best tutorial ( tech and art) by Unity I've ever seen! We all need this type of tutorial to make better experiences. please create others about car design, interiors, VR interaction, and so on! this is the only way to keep people within unity and don't switch over competitors.

This is a great overview of the new HDRP and how to produce a high fidelity graphics rival pre render graphics. But it would be great if you can have another video elaborate the best practices for lighting an interior scene using baking and area lights, the indirect lights are not affected by the directional light.

in 38:12 The conversion of light units obviously fails, since you see the intensity of light change. Should be constant instead, no? Bug or a unprecise convertion and an overprecise HDRP?

  • @michaelgackle

*Question:* How do I get light to bounce around corners where my lights are Dynamic/Realtime and turn on and off?
*Scenario:* You spawn in a room with the light on, you open the door and the house is really dark. Their is a light switch on the wall. But the switch can't be seen in the dark, and we only want to see so far into the dark. If their is too much light we can't influence the dark and unknown and scary atmosphere.

Why is there no kind of mixed mode for reflection probes?
Every static object (like the scene) could baked and then only moving objects (like a player or so) would be dynamically set in front of the background. Similar to mixed lighting.
Is there a technical technical reason I am missing?
