Thank you for keeping Frankie off the internet. So many kids that were raised by family vloggers are talking about what a nightmare their childhood was because their parents posted every detail of their lives (from first period to bra shopping to first crushes) and they had no say in it. Many blessings on the three of you!
Yes, I fully agree. I have seen some videos of kids that shocked me because they were things that other kids would likely find and use to bully the child when they are a little older, or the children themselves might just find to be embarrassing and wish hadn't been made public. Let a kid mess their pants or make mistakes and not put it out for the world to see. Babies are one thing, but when they start to get moving around much on their own, take care to show them in a good light and edit out the embarrassing stuff. 🙂
Yeah that’s not our plan. Frankie gets to be a part of our story but without any closeups haha
Adoptive parents here, our daughter was VERY premature (24 weeks or so) according to the limited records we got she was super tiny (the measurement was in grams). Her lungs weren’t fully developed, but she fought to live (she sees a pulmonologist once a year for x-rays, some scarring but nothing worrying). She does have CP, and vision problems, but she’s smart and knows how to get her way (sometimes wish she ddn’t learn that). We didn’t meet her until she was 4 1/2, and didn’t take her home until she was 5. She seemed to like the flights home as the vibration from the engines just soothed her to sleep (otherwise she’s a ball of energy.) She also loves car rides, and the subway.

He's soo tiny and adorable! Happy Frankie came out into the world safe and healthy and you two are doing an amazing job!
Yes! We're so fortunate and feeling blessed as he gets closer and closer to "normal" weight!

4lbs 12oz baby here, 63 years ago. Three weeks early, with the umbilical cord around my neck in distress. Thankful to be here. Found out a few years ago I have small kidneys due to being early.
If they can check those things today that would be helpful down the line, just a fyi, not to be scary. ❤

We're so lucky to be in the position we're in. Having parents around is stressful but more helpful than stressful most of the time haha
Congratulations! My son was a little bean too at three weeks early, needed to be trained to breastfeed, and lost weight below five pounds. I can totally relate to the fixation on weight gain and to having a little guy! Unlike Frankie he never really learned to enjoy eating 😳 but grew to close to six feet. It does happen! 😂 Live in your love, joy and newness. You are doing great! ❤️
Wow! That's awesome to hear that everything works out, we're watching his weight really closely but feeling pretty positive so far. ❤🙏🏻

Congratulations again! And it is soooo awesome that you are living with your parents during all of this. Seriously. I spent a lot of time fantasizing moving and living with my husband's parents when our daughter was a newborn, lol. Also, the big ole cloth diaper butt is my favorite!!

Glad to see a video. No pressure at all but it was a nice surprise. Frankie is adorable and yes he's small but he's in the amazing hands of his loving and doting parents and his grandparents. You guys are so blessed to have your parents there helping. My in-laws came for the first 2 -3 weeks and my mother in law was thee best!!! She would let me sleep and wake me up when my son needed to be fed. She cooked, cleaned gosh it was so helpful because you don't really know what you're doing. Big hugs to all of your family❤❤❤❤❤❤❤It's great to see you and thank you for sharing your precious little Frankie baby

Congratulations!!!!!!!! I laughed so hard about the baby + trailer comments. My older brother was born as my parents were working on finishing the house and I was born during kitchen renovations. We can't always pick the timing, but it will all come out in the wash.

Congrats team! Heads up for the reusable nappies (sorry for unsolicited advice, hope you don't mind)
Breastmilk poos are water soluble. Unsure if Frankie is EBF, but if not on formula you do not need to use the bidet sprayer on the nappies, they can go straight into the drypail then in the prewash, no rinsing needed.

Aside from some lung weakness (asthma) I’m fit and well. Prem medical care has come on so much.

We used cloth diapers and “supplemented” with paper diapers when the laundry got overwhelming or on some trips.

I completely understand how scary and overwhelming dealing with a premier is. My son. Was born at 29.5 weeks and was 2lbs 4oz. It was scary and wonderful watching him fight (and he did). He's now 22 and over 6 feet. Have faith Frankie will traverse all those hurdles too!

i used bummi wraps with my son. his bubble diaper butt is one of my best memories of the "diaper daze" of himz being little. i wish it were as easy to video and take pics in 2001 as it is now. take so many! much love you THREE!!
