  • Two days after Storm Arwen hit the UK, I went on a hike into the North Pennines, to ascend the aptly named Cold Fell. I encountered rapidly changing conditions, cold that severely affected all of my video equipment and scenery that can only be described as stunning. The video is testament to the truly wild conditions that can be found in The North Pennines.
    Total distance :- 7.16 miles (11.5km)
    Summits achieved :-
    Cold Fell 2037ft (621m)
    Simmerson Hill 1312ft (400m)
    Kelky Fell 1252ft (381m)

Thanks Colin, granted the video makes it look rough but I cannot deny I loved hiking through all the white stuff, knee deep in places and it was fantastic!! Thanks for watching the video, it's always appreciated to receive positive feedback

Thanks, although I class myself firmly in the total amateur rank of photography I do still enjoy going out and hiking around to capture the best images I can, not quite calendar worthy just yet 😂

Thanks, it was quite cool that day (around -5°C with the wind), but so worth it in the end, thank you for watching 😊

Beautiful Duncan a bet that was so enjoyable. Me and the wife went up Muggleswick Common two weeks ago was having a nice walk in the snow until the wife slipt over at Smiddy shaw reservoir broke her arm and wrist she's doing OK now though.

Despite looking a bit of a struggle it was so enjoyable to be up there, even with the wind etc I would have done it again no bother. Sorry to hear about your wife, glad to know she is on the mend and I hope she is back to 100% soon 😊

Don't think CZcams has that function just yet, however just watching my videos, subscribing and spreading the word will be more than a substitute for a double like symbol 😉😂
