I think Modern Family's first 5 seasons were outstanding. But from the 6th on it pains me to say it got less and less funny. Steve Lloyd said it would run as long as it were funny and they're overdoing it. So I'm so happy 'Veep' picked the baton!
This was the year that 'Veep' conquered the Emmy giant 'Modern Family' to be the best comdey series. I can see how exhilarated Anna,Julia and Armando were because they'd been waiting for this for 3 years and finally they got what they deserved.
I like that the Closed Captioning for this video refers to "Veep" as beef. Apparently, this was the fourth time beef has been nominated in the comedy series category. Who knew beef was so accomplished?
You had a good run, Modern Family, and you deserved it. If anyone were to steal this Emmy from MF, I would have thought it'd be Silicon Valley. Veep doesn't do it for me, but I only watched the first season, so what do I know.
