- Not much to see here, aside from CSX AC44CW 5114 starting up to work a yard local in Bostic Yard, and a different CSX local departing to serve customers with a GEVO ES44AC 808 and 11 cars. Bostic Yard is accessible from a public street, and I was there with permission. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.
I used to love to watch my dad do this and he retired from CSX as an engineer with 42 years of service brings back a lot of memories and he died 6 years ago today
Every time one of these big beauties is stoked and comes alive the world is better off.
The air compressor "WHOOP" is my daughter's favorite sound with trains. She absolutely loves it.
Its mine too
its a work of art
Imagine having that kind of engine in your car. That much horsepower.
@@anthonyj810 it was joke dude. Get some maintenance.
@@anthonyj810 still it would be so funny to see this guy with this big ass engine strapped onto his car.
You’d probably blow up. 🤣 Imagine being chased by 20 police cars.
@@anthonyj810 Actually the older large dump trucks utilized the GE 7FDL-16 Diesel engine… not impossible
@@harvestercommander3250 LMAO "get some maintenance" 😂😂😂😂😂fucckkk
Gotta' love the sound of that GE 7FDL-16 chugging away! (Though, hearing the roar of an EMD 16-710G3B sounds better, IMHO!)
Depends on who you ask I believe GE’s sound the best with the 710 right behind em!
I like them both equally. EMD's have their signature whine while GE's have that chugging sound.
Nerd.

I LOVE THAT WHOOPING SOUND LIKE THE TRANFORMERS
WHOOP ....
I live near there. I love hearing the trains go by at night. The railroad is maybe a mile from my house. A lot of them carry coal to the Duke energy plant in Cliffside
A freight train deep in the night is one of the most comforting sounds ever.
I love the compressor
It's got a nice deep rhythm to it
One of my favorite trains is a CSX AC44CW
*favorite locomotive*
The type of engine that was used for AWVR 777.
lol it is, I love that movie
Great sound ! :)
The air compressor in that locomotive sounds like a bongo drum.
But, I prefer hearing the 12-cylinder version of the 7FDL!
but indonesian railway used a 8-cylinder version of 7FDL widely used for U18C and a custom widecab U20C,and sometimes they run like a toaster locomotive
It sounds so weird that when I got my N Scale version I had to make sure it wasn’t a problem with the sound board
My 2 trains that mean a lot to me the es44ac and ac44cw
How these guys work on & around these bad mo jammies, keep a straight face 😝, I'd be grinning all the time 🤣
Look at it as just a job.
GEAC44CW Top speed limited until 75 mph, approved until 85 mph and current=reachable until 100 mph.
it clearly has CW44AH written on the side
That is literally just what CSX classes their AC4400's as
Whoa, CSX #808 doesn't have any lightning bolts! =O
@Cnw#8701 The lightning bolts mean it runs on AC power.
@@CSXNick1003 Yeah, and 808 is an ES44AC. Turns out several units in the 700 series and 800 series were delivered without lightning bolts. About 95% of AC-traction units on CSX's roster have them.
@@Cnw8701 Ok, my bad.
Cool video
This is the same startup sound as the region rail in rails unlimited
i thought they was a start button in the cab for AC44's like the one in TSW
Remember train simulators are very unrealistic
@@eoinpkav152 These locomotives normally do have cab start buttons, I assume they were watching it start for whatever reason
No, ES44DC's Are #5200--5501
Just Train Insanity I’m pretty sure that’s obvious.
no, it's a CW44AH
Like it
I really wish the Class 60's had the GE 7FDL16 instead of the shitty Mirrlees Blackstone MB275T8V as that would have kept most of them if not all of them active to this day.
Bela potência de uma locomotiva da GE ac44cw .
1:16 Whooop
This is a cool vid tho....
bien
What is that noise at 1:16?
That's the air compressors cycling.
GEVO AC44CW...... (I think)
Correct me if i'm wrong............😅
You are definitely wrong. A GEVO is a different model from an AC44CW.
@@FL92002 @FL92002 ok👌
okay, sick of half assed guessed at answers... this seems like a group that knows what they are talking about... at minute 1:16 I hear a "whooooooop" then a steady tone vibration... I live near a main rail that comes into Green Bay, and hear that sound a lot. Mostly on the out bounds as they start notching it up. Any SERIOUS help would be appreciated! Thank you!
The "whoop" is an electric air compressor turning on.
well....aint that just spayshel?
1:18 sound of rails unlimited runaway 777 idle
777 and 767 were ac 4400
and the southeast stealth from rails unlimited also has that same engine sound
Train games on Roblox are cringe, deal with it
MOST are cringe, but the game I know, isn’t
This does not sound like a train
Ge trash, yes I have the right to say that.
No u
So that explains why ur pfp is EMD?
Ah yes imagine going on a GE START UP Video then saying “Ge Trash”
Yes very cool of you..
*and before you call me a GE fanboy I like both so the word “Fanboy” doesn’t apply to me* 🤷🏾♂️
Man I love locomotives but the railfan community is Full of BS
Then why you have a EMD locomotive as you’re profile
