- Hello fellow riders/youtube people.
Today something completely different than usual, although it concerns motorcycles.
For a long time I wanted to buy a motorcycle trailer so that I could transport my motorbikes where it would be needed. Unfortunately, most motorcycle trailers are large and need a lot of space to store them.
Then, quite by accident, while searching the Internet, I found this foldable trailer from the Motolug company.
It so happened that a Dutch trailer dealer MOTOLUG is located near my place of residence, and thanks to this I was able to see and test the trailer, the rest is history, I became the happy owner of the MOTOLUG trailer.
Enjoy the video.
This video is in no way sponsored by the producer or seller of this product, everything you see I bought with my own hard-used means of payment and is for my own use only.
It looks like it was simple enough to put together and handles the bike weight and road conditions, might have a look for this for my bike trips with the camper.
I use to play with a erector set called Mecano. This video brings back memories of my childhood.!!
Thanks for the share Andy. Trailer looks brilliant
This is a good video, but I advise getting the bike loaded before attaching the lights and forward arms that are really only there for legal reasons (reflectors).
Good video--especially the camera angles while towing! The trailer did seem to lose traction and slide around that turn.
this is how it looks in the vid because the car was changing direction when the trailer was still in a bend, therefore it look like a skid, believe me, I drove over 10,000 km with this trailer and I have not noticed that it skidded yet
Came for the trailer, but that hidden hitch? What is it?
Cheers for footage mate just bought the HDE one 👍🏼
your welcome 😃
Nice stuff dude.
Three minutes in and I can already see that this is way too much drama to haul a motorcycle
Nice trailer and Solid
Thanks for the video. I reached to your videos when I was searching for tips for my former Versys.
I don't have it now, but still, your uploads are such a great help.
Do you have a link of trailer' seller?
Greetings from Chile.
Oryginal manufacturer is in England motolug.com and they have dealerships in other countrys, so you need to do some googeling 😉
As always, great video. How long in real time did it take for you to set it up?
With no rush you have your trailer ready in 10 minutes
Thanks for your video :)
Really useful video thank you so much! How easy is it to get the bike off though? Cheers 👍🏼
Thanks. To pull the bike out of the wheel clamp, you need to use a little force, when the wheel is free the rest goes easily, you can do it yourself, but if there is another person nearby, I recommend that they help you
Looking for a collapsible trailer that will fit in the boot of my car/motorhome. This looks ideal.
How heavy is your bike? Any reason you didn’t tie it down to the the front arms of the trailer?
Thanks
About 265kg, on the axle there are special lugs for mounting and it is enough for the motorcycle to be stably mounted
Looks great - any points to look out for?
I have driven about 4,000 km with this trailer and so far I have not found any problems
@@MotoAndy thanks. My first vintage trials event is next Saturday so will be the trailer first outing!
Be careful with the kind of straps. Hooks without a safety clip can come loose when driving over uneven roads!
@@torenarend thanks - one hook did come loose - I am looking for alternative carabiner type but with no luck so far. I did ask the supplier of the trailer but they couldn’t help which was a surprise as they didn’t recommend the ones they sold me but didn’t have any others!
what is the track playing
Nice piece of kit Andy, Cheers. How does it hold the bike vertical while you get the ratchet straps on ? Are you trailering your bike up to Scandinavia for the trip you mentionec?
Front wheel is in wheel clamp and it keeps the bike up right a little bit. No Scandinavia is close to NL so I will do that on wheels but not this year unfortunately, plans have change.
@@MotoAndy cheers Andy, might have a look at one of those myself. Thanks for sharing 👍
I like it....good stuff...Worth knowing....what was the cost?
In GB 995£ in NL 1245€
👏👏👏👏🔝👌
Do they ship to US? This is what I’m desperate need of for transporting my bike to Races
Motolug.com send an email to the manufacturer in UK, I have no idea of they ship it to US
I couldn’t see the price in the video
Prices vary by country, check the nanufacturer's website motolug.com
Hej
Zacznę od końca filmu:
a) brak ceny przyczepki w danych o niej
Idę pojeździć bo natura wzywa(+26C i słońce).
Miłego weekend-u:)
In what world is this foldable? I literally see nothing folded...
Nice trailer though.
See 1:10 in the video. The main central section folds around the axle and is pinned together. I have one of these and it works well but I suggest putting the bike on to the trailer before attaching the lights, etc.
This music sucks it was so bad I stopped watching this video
You know there is a mute button, rigt?
