- How to Record and Share a Lecture using Microsoft Teams
Sometimes we want to create a lesson recording in advance - but we also want an easy way to do that. No problem! We can just hold a Microsoft Team meeting for one! - ourself!
We can then present that lecture as if there was an audience there - and record it - creating a sharable video for our class.

Very informative
Damn, Microsoft Teams is so versatile app for online learning classes! Many features and tools ready "out-of-the-box"
Thank you, Frank, for demonstrating this useful capability of MS Teams.
Thank you. This is new for me. I like your style, engaging and to the point.
Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
Very useful! Thank you!
Thank you for explaining it in such a detailed, guided manner
You’re very welcome - thank you for watching and for your kind comment!
thank you, sir! this is so helpful.
Bravo, Big help.
Thank you this was very helpful :D
Hi, Thanks for the information. Can we Hide Inset picture or profile from MS team recording? During recording I can minimize it but after recording still it is there in saved recording. Is it possible to hide profile in recording?
What if the record option doesn’t even show at times. It’s sporadic and sometimes shows and sometimes doesn’t. That clearly isn’t a configuration. It’s buggy
Can you also transcribe the entire lecture?
How do you insert yourself in the slides? like a wheatherman does for example.
There are a couple of ways. The weatherman example is using “Green Screen” - you film yourself in front of a green screen and your editing or broadcast software inserts the slides over the green screen, but not you. So it looks like you are inserted.
That’s a whole video I should do!
Learning and Technology with Frank that’s great, thank you very much for replying!
How to record a video from CZcams, as the sound doesn't be appearing after playing the record
how will I use this pre recorded message or presentation to auto present when others join meeting ? and I don't attend that meeting, others just watch my presentation like a movie
Correct - this is a way to record yourself using Teams. You can then use it as a student resource.
my Microsoft Teams does not have a recording button. I googled it trying to find out why it is missing, and ppl say it has been removed in one of the recent OS updates. what a "nice" OS update...
It hasn’t been removed. It’s most likely an Administrative setting. The meeting organizer or the 365 Admin can enable/disable the ability to record meetings
I am the meeting organizer, and the Admin. Is there anything wrong with my Admin settings?
@@rvb7219 check the Teams Admin Center in Microsoft365 and under Meeting settings you should have a toggle switch that sets permission to enable recording. It would be strange if it was off though. It’s the first place to check though.
The other place to check - when you start the meeting, click the ellipse (…) and under Meeting Options the record should be there as well.
Tried to do that. Got the message to install a desktop version of Teams. I thought this is what I have. Now not sure if I should install it again? Or keep trying to use the web version? Weird...
Why are the buttons you need to click hidden behind the _ellipse?_
On what planet is this _simple?_ No really, on what planet is this simple?
Let's face it, MS Teams is a very clumsy tool.
Not a critique on you Frank. Thanks for navigating us through this mess.
