August 16, 1977 it was 10:30 pm at night I asked my parents if they can take me on 1 more ride, so they did we were standing in line at the sky ride and I was watching this mechanic who was working on the gear that turns the cable, all of a sudden his leg got caught in the cable, I'll never forget his screams, an ambulance backed up to the ride and the mechanic was placed inside the ambulance and his leg was in a large piece of plastic right behind, it was something I will never forget, every time I return I look at the cable and I can't forget. On the Turnpike drive home we heard on our car radio that Elvis Presley had died, so I'll never forget that day.
