    Hi! Love your videos and have made 2 of your brooders which are wonderful! I have a huge question for you. My babies are 8 weeks now and started weaning. But I'm still handfeeding on demand. My huge question is, how do you keep them clean after feeding and esp when they have feathered. Is giving them a bath everyday okay?

  • @josdiaz5295
    @josdiaz5295 Před 4 měsíci +1

    This is my first time ever breeding our cockatiels. I’m so sad because we have 7 eggs and they’re all duds. Five are from one pair two from another pair and unfortunately not even one is fertile 😢.
    I fed them pellets, they have mineral blocks, a cuttlebone, calcium powder in their water, and I sprinkle their pellets with egg protein. Is there something I did wrong to get these results? I was kind of hoping that maybe we would have at least one baby.
    UPDATE:
    One of my females ended up laying 5 eggs and three were fertile. We now have 3 hatchlings but sadly, their mother passed away two days ago. The hatchlings are with their foster parents and the parents are doing great taking care of them. We’re so excited.

  • @terrimalen710

    QUESTION: how do you keep your feathered weaning babies clean? The formula hardens on their feathers and the clutch mates are picking it off. There are some bald spots happening now. I give them a warm bath and soak. Is that okay for these young babies to be so wet everyday?

    Hello ! I need help with my 1 day old cockatiel ! It chirps and moves a lot but it has been having issues since the 3rd feeding. It is not digestion the Kaytee exact formula fast enough. I’m trying to feed it every two hours but when it’s time for the next feed the crop is already almost full. But baby looks like its strong because it still stand and lifts its head for food. The baby though does open its mouth a lot but I don’t know if he’s gasping for air or is just asking for food. With the slow crop I waited four hours after the 5th feeding and gave it warm water because you said in one of your videos that you do that. Is there anything else I can do ????

    I have a question, me and my husband really need your expertise. We have two cockatiels, and they recently laid eggs. 3 of them. The male is acting so weird, directly when we put the nest in, he became so overprotective and he would barely let the female in. When the babies was born it was better, but he was still strating fights with her every time it was his turn to "sit on the eggs". She can't even be near the nest when he is sitting on them. Two of the babies died probably because he didn't let her feed them 😔 And when we take them outside of the cage to hang out with us, he starts screaming if he can't see her. Like if she flies to a place where he can't see her, if she is on the floor walking under the table and he is on top and he can't see her, he just starts screaming is head of. It is so annoying. What should we do? Should we separate them for a while in two different cages or can we get her a new male? 🤔 Can you give us some advice pleaaaase🙏🏼???

I have a pair of albino cockatiels and incubating them for the eggs is good, but when the eggs hatch, you do not feed the children and leave them to die for more than one production. This happens, and I cannot take care of them at this young age. What should I do, my friend? All greetings and appreciation to you on your wonderful channel.
