- As part of my range testing for the XPedition, a dual battery cargo ebike, I used Throttle only to drain the batteries. Watch to see my results.

Hey Chris, definitely impressive on the lectric 45 miles is amazing throttle only nice video👍👍
Looking forward to your accessory video! Love my Xpedition. Some of my accessories aren’t arriving until late August though 😕
Thanks for watching 🙂
Great to see an actual real-world range test. What would be the estimated range for the single-battery version?
Please do a max cargo weight pedal max.
I will do the Kepler at 20 mph for a test too. Will set it to class 2 and check. I got about 80 miles doing PAS 1-2 with it set for 28 mph top speed. 12 mph average. No hills.
Hi, can you take a measurement of the suspension seat post? I am a tall rider and I like to know the distance from top of the seat to the ground, with the suspension seat post raised as high as it can safely go.
My Lectric suspension seatpost and comfort seat, is 39.5 inches high. I am six feet tall. Of course once you sit on it you go down almost 2 inches.
How much added weight did you have in the rear cargo?
None except a few pounds for the Orbital
There's also cruise control
If you did throttle only at PAS 3, would it just go slower and you would still be required to pedal?
It would go slower, you have to pedal, but you would get longer range.
I have a new trike that comes with 48v 1000watt midrive 20ah battery. I think the battery capacity is 960 w hours. How many miles estimate with just a 180lb rider would you guess. Thank you

Miles on flat ground
thank you for a nice thouroh video, i appreceate it.
Thanks for watching
The test range that you did, you are doing the test in a couple days. When you finished the first test, the battery has a chance to regain some voltage. I wonder how long both batteries will last on the throttle test only in one day of testing?
Also, you have your lights turned on! LOL
Doesn’t matter
The voltage sag is negligible but if you continuously used the throttle and never stopped it would probably get the 30 miles in PAS 5.
My research shows if you're doing a single session on throttle only in real world conditions, hills, inclines, wind, start and stop, fast, and you're an average height and weight person, the amp hours pretty much match the range. So 29ah will get you around 29 to 33 miles.
Is that the seat that comes with it?
Negative its their comfort seat
I think Lectric is conservative when they advertise the range. On my Lite I get the stated 30 miles in PAS 2 but I weigh over 240 pounds.
Was it single or dual battery?
definitely dual
Dual
I doubt their number is 30 on a dual battery model.
EDIT: I confirmed the following from their site.
“48V Lithium-Ion battery with Single and Dual-Battery options to power your ride for up to 75 or 150 miles, respectively.”
I’d expect throttle-only to be about half of the above.
These estimates must be if you dont unlock it. Either that or i have defective cells. Im getting nowhere near these ranges and thats with PAS 99% of the time.
Be sure to awaken each Beatty before riding in case one of them is still asleep. What’s your weight?
@@ChrisCrossed yeah i made sure they both were on. And yeah i figured my weight might play a part of it. I weigh 250 and i have a kid trailer attached with my 1 and 2 year old in tow (roughly 80 pounds combined.) so basically 330 pounds on the bike. I just went on a 1 hour ride with my kids today maybe 10 miles. Maybe 80% of the ride on PAS 5 when on the road and the rest swapping between PAS 1-3 when in the park. Only use throttle to get going from a stop since i dont (i forget to) down shift. By the time i got home i had a bar left on each battery. I feel like i should get a lot more range than that from a full charge. But idk
@@mauricecooper9016 Youre carrying tons of weight, and mostly used pas 5. the numbers make sense. However, there are some factors that may help. Make sure your brake pads arent rubbing, and run an optimal psi in the tires. Hope this helps and youve been enjoying your bike with the family.
Diy dual battery on any E bike carrying a 2nd battery on rack in a box . Changing battery at about 50% .
Could do better in PAS 4.
Correct, by doing PAS 5 I was able to find out the minimum range you can get at the highest output.
First!
🚨💯Need a range video of this bike while carrying a max cargo load!💯🚨
Maybe next year, getting cold here
