The Strymon is great but I prefer the Wampler Ethereal, it's a reverb and delay into a standard pedal size and the sound is amazing.
Great sounding pedal. I have it on my board every time I play. Highly recommend.

I mean, my guitar was 200 bucks, that's less than the pedal and spending so much on just one pedal wouldn't set well with me but I'm watching it anyway. They sound pretty nice and I'd love to have one but they're too expensive

Thats the very first pedal I ever bought,super realistic reverberator.
I love how the pedal has dings and scratches- you either own it, or you borrowed it from someone, but that, to me, indicates a more 'truthful' review than if Strymon shipped you a shiny new pedal. Thanks for keeping it real.

A lot of negatives I've read on the Strymon line BUT for me I love the Blue Sky and the Flint, and on my board I'll run them together and for ambience I did set a "favorite" on the Blue Sky. I'll also add a Nano Pog and Walrus Audio Julia which for the way I've set my those pedals adds such a rich full tone without becoming muddled.

Hey marty I have a question. I'm a fairly intermediate guitarist and I am starting to gather some gear. I currently have a fender champion 100 amp. I am also putting together a pedalboard. My question is: should I invest in higher end pedals or in an orange tube amp? I am planning on mostly playing classic/hard rock and heavy metal. Thanks!

I've had this pedal for about 3 weeks and I love it! But, I've noticed that it does not like High gain. Has anybody else experienced this and do you have a solution for it? My signal chain goes from boost, to gain devices to modulation devices to reverb and then to delay and then to the amplifiers in stereo. So I know my board is set up correctly. I'm just frustrated that this thing sounds really bad with High Gain going through it.
Have you tried the spring king? By dan electro ?
I got plenty of Reverb on my Marshall amp but great if one hasn't got it.

I saw a Fender pedal that has both delay and reverb on it. What’s the consensus on a mix use pedal like that?
Mostly for an ambient sound because it goes beyond the basic.

Ray Ross you can pick these up for $250 used. Fairly inexpensive for such a quality piece of equipment.

i bough the Strymon Big Sky recently. Its a great pedal, but I think it may be too much pedal for my needs. Thinking of trading it for a Blue Sky. I don't like having so many options. Same with the Timeline. I think I'd rather just have a Brigadier.

It does sound good, but I don't see the point in buying one for myself since my amp has built in reverb and $300 is a bit steep for me (especially since I spent only $270 on the amp).
john this guy doesnt know how to demo this pedal when it comes to the mod and the shimmer. Those two settings are for like musicians that play ambient, swells, like in worship settings at churches.
To me, he is more into rock, blues jazzy stuff. That is why he is focused on the spring settings, which btw, your amp already has.
I felt the same way you did. About your amps having the reverbs built in. Thats not the case for me anymore. I dont even use my amps reverb anymore at all. I have two boss rv5’s and this blue sky pedal. Lol

john if your amp costs less than the pedal dont buy the pedal,this pedal will be great experienced if you have tube amp.All the details will be there.
I have a Marshall DSL5C and it doesn't have reverb. I have this pedal and my God the cleans on my amp have got to be some of the best I've ever heard. Really good value for what you get.

HOF mini at probably 11 o clock. OCD on LP mode volume 2 oclock, drive 9 oclock, tone 2 ish (change as needed). This is assuming you are going to a clean amp with low output pickups.

I'm simple, the Strymon Big Sky scared me off: to many buttons, the blueSky a bit too. I fell in love with the Strymon Flint. The reverb on it is amazing with enough options for my simple tastes thanks, but has tremolo to boot, love it.
