I finally got bigsky today. i just wanna say this (or the bluesky) at the end of pedal chain adds so much quality you didn't know you were missing. i bet even the cheapest guitar with the cheapest fuzz/OD would sound great thru it. (a half decent tube amp or quality speakers still necessary)
Just sold my space and IMMEDIATELY realized that this is WAY better in sound, versatility and the banks are so so good. Cloud is sort of like BLACKHOLE but better. Choral is amazing. Spring is just as good as my Princeton Reverb. So many possibilities here. No regrets selling off the SPACE which was a bit digital sounding. This one sounds ORGANIC. Lovely.
Awesome review! Helped understand all the modes and power that it holds. So in the end use, it means you can switch between all those customized presets and banks while playing live without touching any knows only the pedal 🤔
The most meaningful BigSky tutorial I have seen so far. Especially as far as the functions and the handling of all those knobs is concerned. I think the BigSky is not just sounding great, it's also enormously versatile - if you know how to handle it and get out all the possible sounds. The only important thing missing is imho some kind of additional display or at least some lights over the knobs that inform you about where you are right now, what settings you are currently using. For it's hard to memorize the current settings without some optical hints. Using a pedal shouldn't demand a masters degree in abstract imagination or engineering.

I have already very good delays in my rig but I am lacking the effects with which to get rich shimmer and swells, and unfortunately I do not have budget for the two units. I will use it in front of a couple of vox amps either on a pedalboard or in a rack interface that runs in pararel the wet signal with a split dry signal to preserve tonal purity as much as possible. Thank you.

When you change your presets in the middle of your playing... does it turns the reverb sound of the current preset off? Or it keeps a bit more? I wonder because i have to change presets live and i wouldnt like that when you change the presets it finishes like super radical. I hope you understand my q.
The pedal have a function called spillover, this function allows to change between presets mixing the effects: one inside the other, but with a condition: the previous preset must be active at least 5 seconds before the preset change I'm learning english, any advice will be well taken :D
Hah, that's funny I thought the cab filter sounded dull and lifeless compared to pure signal. Funny how people hear different.... oh when you add in dirt it sounds better that way but clean sounds better without it

Anyone know how to completely bypass this pedal? I just got it and have no freaking idea. Its obviously not like a normal pedal with an on and off button for when you want the effect to be on but I can't find how to do that.

Different flavours, and some FX are quite different actually between Eventide and Strymon. Oh, and hands on control over knobs and 3 switches, I guess it's practically if you use reverb a lot to have a dedicated unit. I have 3 Eventide pedals and I'm looking at Strymon for the sake of variety... Also looking at Lexicon, Yamaha and tc electronic Rack units, although the form factor is a concern for me...
Nothing outside of saving an additional 250 bucks I'm guessing. I think the outter fringe of our financial comfort zone is maxed out (for most of us) - - at around $500. Tax rebates are our only hope. Lucky for me - so I'm in!

It doesn't have to be the A button to sustain. You can do it for any preset. And it Sustains the reverb, but not what you can play on top of the sustained reverb. Hope that helps.
Big Sky is a great pedal, this demo needs work. Appreciate the time taken to put this up, but the demonstration used about 10% of what this pedal can actually do.
good job, but u forget keep in mind that NOT everyone is digitaly F..... up to follow ur speedy skip and fancy fingering this beautiful and yet WAY too expensive/worthless device.🥴
+Rick Milam Dude, the perfect combination is an Ibanez tsa30 or 15, it's a tube amp with a tube screamer on the circuit, it has no reverb and since it's a blues oriented amp you could use the amp filter in the bigsky pedal to make it warmer.

Love this pedal, but it was hard to imagine it in perspective because the "Mix" knob was practically maxed out the whole video...

It does show you what setting you've messed with and it does change lights when it returns to the "default" setting.

The way I understand it is the Big Sky is better in a practical sense but with The Space, you can do more creative and weird stuff

It doesn't have to be the A button to sustain. You can do it for any preset. And it Sustains the reverb, but not what you can play on top of the sustained reverb. Hope that helps.

Cab filter I believe. There's a switch on the back side of the pedal that turns it on and off
