This really is an awesome scene. Not many cartoons (nor movies, for that matter) can really capture the frenzy and confusion of a 4-sided fight, and to do so in a way that the audience has no trouble following, yet doesn't appear unrealistically step-by-step, is really impressive. Combine that with the fact that every individual's taking part in a useful way unique to each of them, with no one just being relegated to the sidelines or to generic tasks anyone could accomplish...it's done so well that it looks smooth and easy, but in fact, a fight scene like this takes a lot of talent to pull off. No other superhero cartoon ever pulled off combat so organically and interestingly, not even shows lauded for exactly that, like Justice League or Spectacular Spider-Man.

+CAM8689 Not really. Characters who are created later generally are better than those who were created 1st.
Cable's merely has Cyclops' distinctive "eye glow thing", Jean's power set, and a personality much akin to Wolverine. Not to mention he has high-tech "toys" somewhat like Batman or Punisher & a cybernetic arm like Winter Soldier does. So he was destined to be a bad-ass character.

      I. Th.
X-Men was never good. And I'm saying this without comparing it to the source material.
X2 was mediocre but now has the nostalgia filter going for it. This and X-Men are heavily dated.
First Class was goddamn amazing, I'll give you that. My only complaint was the terrible effects.
The Wolverine? Lol who're you kidding?
DOFP was good in parts and just terrible in other parts. Plot holes galore.
Deadpool was great the first time people watched. Got old as fast as it got famous.
Logan was good except the third act where they almost ruined the entire thing. _(Seriously, how is it even possible to make a third act uninteresting?)_
And if I was comparing any of these to what they *could* have been...
Well, at least Marvel might do them justice a couple years from now like they did for Spider-Man. Fingers crossed.

    • @shauryasingh9725
      @shauryasingh9725 Před 6 lety +3

      I. Th.
Kevin Feige admitted that? Well, he did work on it, why wouldn't he praise it? *Blade* saved the genre, X-Men came in between and then *Spider-Man* revitalised it.
You don't think X2 is mediocre but if it were, say, GOTG or The Avengers, you wouldn't mind if anyone called them mediocre. That's just your little studio bias right there. You talk about objectivity and yet expose yourself in every alternate sentence.
You lost your credibility when you called the X-Men movies faithful to the comics. Lmao you think Marvel got Spider-Man wrong and Fox got X-Men right? You're *objectively* about both of those. And now, to be fair, because unlike you, I'm neutral and not fanboying over a fucking studio, you did get one thing right about X2. It had great *themes.*
Again, you're questioning facts. First Class did have terrible effects. And honestly, that's a very minor complaint, to the point that it means pretty much nothing. That's the definitive X-Men movie and I adore it for being true to it's roots (unlike X2, which you wrongly pointed out).
The Wolverine was a dud. A 6/10 on a good day. It was painfully average and that's how it fared.
First I'll get this out of the way, I personally liked DOFP but the more I read into it, the more I could pick apart. There were a lot of timeline issues and continuity errors I couldn't overlook. And yet again, you talk out of your ass. "Surpassed every other movie"? Boy if you don't.. The Avengers, First Class, TDKR came out between 2011 and 2014 were all better. And shit, there were three Marvel movies in 2014 itself excluding DOFP out of which two blew it out of the water, namely, The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy.
I'll give you Deadpool because both of us have only given our opinions on the film.
Logan wasn't praised for it's third act. It was praised for the climactic scene at the *end* of it's third act which was heavily owed to nostalgia and the *actor,* moreso than the character. The movie fell downhill as soon as the mutant children were introduced. And I'll say it again, Logan *was* good. It's just that Marvel fanboys refuse to listen to any criticism for it since these idiots think making a movie somber means an instant Oscar. Marvel fans just wanted to have a claim at saying "Hey look we have a Dark Knight too!" which I think is stupid and turned out to be untrue since Logan isn't the best Marvel film, much less in the same league as TDK.
No, I don't say whatever I like. Unlike you, I think, rethink, check and recheck my facts before I type them down and actually clarify the difference between what my opinions are and the rest. And we're back to you talking out of your ass again. X-Men franchise is one of the most successful franchises? Boy check your facts. It doesn't even crack top 10 in both popularity *and* gross. The MCU, for the sake of comparison, is the 4th greatest franchise of all time and the downright largest franchise in history in terms of gross. Am I saying "anything otherwise"? Yeah didn't think so.
Spider-Man Homecoming is the second biggest Spider-Man film in terms of gross (and the most profitable) and it's the second *best* Spider-Man movie in terms of the film itself. What you gave me was all opinion. These are the hard facts. Now for my opinion - Again, you are sorely mistaken. Spider-Man can't do anything without Stark tech? THAT WAS THE POINT OF HOMECOMING. Drone sidekick? Yeah he's had that in the comics and animated series as well. In most iterations, he has someone make it for him. Also, Aunt May is 50 in the movie as an aunt should be. Their relationship was organic and the reveal at the end opened the doors to several possibilities with May's character which the other Spider-Man movies haven't dared to explore. Heck, *my* favourite Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man 2, faltered with that very notion. The scene where Aunt May is having a heart to heart with Peter is filled with amazingly written layered dialogue. *But* here's what's wrong with that entire scene - What made it good was the *layered* dialogue alluding to the fact that May knew Peter was Spider-Man. But guess what? She didn't. And that ruined that scene for me. I might've gone off on a tangent on this last part but you know it's true.
Also, when you call the MCU as a whole a mere action movie franchise, you're pretty much insulting every single movie *with action in it.* Because MCU, as much as it has been called formulaic by select fanboys, really isn't. If you broaden the base for an action movie enough, all of them are formulaic including The Dark Knight and every single Fox film you happen to love so much.
Marvel has gone from origin to redemption to comedy to highschool coming of age to heist to spy espionage to space opera to ensemble to political thriller. That's a fact.
There's a reason it's the largest franchise in the world and no amount of your one sided opinionated argument can change that.
This is why I want Marvel to do the X-Men justice. And it's pretty much a given the deal has already come through. The legal process will take about two years and Marvel will eventually being the X-Men and the first family home.
Throughout your comment, if there's something I noticed, it's that you don't really like the X-Men. The real ones, I mean.

Question for all you comic nerds out there. How do you think the live action movies are gonna handle Rogue and Capt Marvel? I remember reading Rogues origin story back in the day and it said her durability and resilience, regeneration, flight, strength and even the white stripe in her hair ( though I know the first xmen movie covered this ) were all acquired because Rogue PERMANENTLY drained them from Capt Marvel who if I remember correctly was once called Ms Marvel.
