This is easily the most compelling story available to Carol Danvers as a character and yet it is completely ignored. I mean imagine her actually coming back after being held imprisoned in Rogue's mind for years and the trauma associated with that. A fear of being touched, since that's all it took, a fear of being imprisoned, possibly a form of claustrophobia, etc. If you actually brought it into the MCU with the idea's from her movie about her being unable to control her power when she is overly emotional it could make for some very solid story telling. Her having to actually over come those fears, learn to trust people again, and hell even a storyline with her learning to forgive Rogue and potentially even work together with her vs some big bad down the road. Just a lot of potential but it's like Marvel never wants to actually touch this storyline and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
The last Captain Marvel movie ("The Marvels") did so bad they should just tell this compelling story and put Bree's Captain Marvel to bed (aka in the prison in Rogue's mind). Rogue's history and powers are more interesting for main character story lines before, during and after she steals Carol Danvers powers. Captain Marvel needs a long rest.
BS! She took on the Morlock by herself, brainwashed Juggernaut, showed the External the deceit of the Assassins Guild saving Gambit’s brother’s life, saved the X-Men from Mojo, AND saved the X-Men from being vented into space on the space station mission.

A tidbit that I never looked into when I was young enough to watch this. That green alien manifestation wasn't only just something of nightmares but the fact that Carol Denver was an alien Knee Hybrid. I never pondered at as she was just a scary looking with green at that age.
Wrong. First, her being part kree is a recent (and unecessary) retcon, back in the 90's that wasn't a thing so it's unlikely they took this into consideration while making this episode. Second, the "green" Miss Marvel wasn't the real Carol Danvers, but a fragment of her psyche which was inside Rogue's head and was separated from her and given a physical body when Rogue crossed the Siege Perilous, a portal relic, while fighting the Master Mold back in 80's. And while Rogue was teleported to Savage Land, this "fake" Miss Marvel was then teleported to Muir Island and fallen to influence of the Shadow King, who was controlling the island back then. And while under Shadow King's influence, this "fake" Miss Marvel began to corrupt and turned into this green monster. All of this happened on Uncanny X-Men issue 269, published on october, 1990.
