Btw Trigger fish has a very mild flavor which makes a great candidate for versatility. It should pair up very nicely with whatever you put on it or however you cook it, but what I enjoyed most was the texture. The meat is very firm and not quite like many other fish I've tried. It is exceptional! Let me know if you've ever tried trigger fish and how you prepared it!

How far north can you find them. I dock in Old Saybrook CT boat as far as Block and Montauk

I know they can be found in NY waters so you should have a shot in CT, got to fish reefs and rocky structure to find one! Catching one this far north is more like winning at a scratch off ticket, I know the more south you go the more your chances increase, especially from South Jersey down!

Great fillet job. Can you comment on what it tastes like as I never have eaten one. Thanks for your excellent content, much appreciated.
