    Thanks for this great autofocus tutorial. Question, face detection is a little spotty for me, sometimes it won't recognize a face, perhaps b/c the subject is a little too profiled or too far from the camera, anyone use the object tracking for a face?

    When I switch on face only mode (with nobody in the shot) my touch screen stops working and the AF box goes grey. When someone walks into frame I can’t touch to focus on them Is that normal?

    What is the best way to setup the AF when you shooting a group of people at the same time

    • @CanonUSA
      @CanonUSA  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi! That's largely going to depend on how the people in your group are arranged. If everyone's about the same distance from the camera, focusing on someone in the center should be just fine. The face detect feature makes this really easy. If you've got people at different distances from the camera, as shown in the first part of the video, and you want everyone in focus, you'll need to tighten up your lens's aperture to achieve a broader depth of field.
      Hope this helps!

    Is there no option to save predetermined focus points in order to subsequently pull from on object to the other automatically instead of risking the AF to fail the pull ?

    • @CanonUSA
      @CanonUSA  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi Daniel. There isn't an option that allows you to save multiple pre-set points to cycle through. However, using some of the methods outlined by Jem in this video, it is still possible to rack focus between two points on the screen rather quickly. We hope this helps.

    Hi,what is it the perfect set of L lenses for autofocus from wide angle to telephoto? Thanks.

    • @CanonUSA
      @CanonUSA  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello:
      Choosing the right lens depends a lot on your style of photographing. Many photographers like to use a set of three zoom lenses to cover most subjects. These would have focal lengths in the 16-35mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm ranges. The Canon L-series has many versions of lenses that fall into these ranges. You can explore them in detail at the link here: Canon.us/kdkn8.
      If you have other questions our Canon sales agents are happy to assist you at 800-385-2155.
      We hope this helps.

      Hi there. The EOS C200 does not have an (AV) Aperture Priority mode. We hope this answers your question.

    How to set the wide area focus?

    • @CanonUSA
      @CanonUSA  Před 4 lety

      Hello:
      The EOS C200 will allow you to choose between two different sizes for the AF frame. Under base settings, the camera will focus on the area covered by the AF frame. You can select between Large or Small AF Frame size in the 4th Camera Setup menu. Select the [AF Frame Size] menu option and then choose [Large] or [Small]. This process is show in the video beginning at minute 1:34.
      If you have other questions you can contact our Cinema support agents. They can be reached at 1-855-CINE-EOS (1-855-246-3367). 7 days a week - 24 Hours, excluding holidays. All times are ET.
      We hope this is helpful.
