- Fast draw, also known as quick draw, is the ability to quickly draw a handgun and accurately fire it upon a target in the process. This skill was made popular by romanticized depictions of gunslingers in the Western genre, which in turn were inspired by famous historical gunfights in the American Old West.

God _damn_ Django is fast.
@@MrMicahBellThey’re all fantasy films buddy
Especially with that long barrel, must make it even slower , so imagine with a regular revolver
Django shooting looked goofy as hell
@@MrMicahBell Why are you so angry, man?
It's Micah Bell, don't question it.@@itsjustjayy7390

"Name's revolver... Revolver ocelot"

The fastest on film, without a doubt, was Jim in Blazing Saddles. Was no one quicker. THE western channel explored this.
You mean the Waco Kid?
Nevermind that shit. HERE COMES MONGO!
@@johnaustin209 No no, don't use them, they'll only make him angry.

MAN,...This IS GooD !!! Happy New Year 2024
FYI smokeless gun powder wasn’t invented until 1884. Even then it wasn’t widely available that year.

@@puertoricancinemas9492 oh that’s a shame
Jack swift!
all tricks the real west only had a few but they did look for advantages and accuracy it was known doc holiday had the latest army revolver ordered with spring loaded trigger no cocking needed shorter barrel and filled site down on barrel harding did same and wild bill change trigger to fit his big fingers and it was common to take a stance side ways and have hand on gun just a few thoughts for readers
Gimme a break!! No Josey Wales??? WTF??
Glen Ford was the fastest in in his time check it out
The Mel Gibson one doesn't count, he was never seen drawing his pistol, he obviously had it in his hand already and that was hidden from the camera. Even when he holstered it and drew it again, it wasn't him doing it because they hid his face. It was a double. All done by trick of the eye camera work.
These videos are done from the film's perspective, not real-life.
True, but many actors train hard to master using a gun for these type of movies. Clint Eastwood being one. And yes, it's not real life, its a movie, but it's what they perceived it to be that matters, hence this video.
@@STHFGDBY are you telling the guy that made the video that he is wrong about the point of the video?
Totally true but still one of my favorite western quick draw scenes! Lol it’s just fun to watch but hey that’s worth a spot lol
