Abductive reasoning (also called abduction, abductive inference, or retroduction) is a form of logical inference proposed by 19th century philosopher Charles Sanders Peirce. It involves thinking of the simplest and most likely explanation or conclusion based on observations or evidence available. Malcolm Goodwin portrays Edgar Allan Poe's C. Auguste Dupin in Mike Flanagan's "The Fall of the House of Usher," a Netflix miniseries adapting Poe's non-Dupin short story of the same name. Goodwin plays a younger version of the character during flashback scenes set in 1979. Always surprised how fast Matt Dillon is on the draw. Plus, he's using the longer barrel 7 1/2" instead of the 5.5" or the 4 .75" barrels. Plus, you hear the other guy's pistol go off first. Guess Matt was more accurate. Great vid!
