Oh yes! This song is absolutely peak Sabaton. A banger of a tune in its own right but when you know the story it just gives you goosebumps.
I'm not Catholic but my parents are, they visited Rome last year and I asked that they get a picture of "the stairs to heaven" leading to st peters basilica, they did... You can still see the blood stains from where it soaked into the stone.
That song is a banger and it’s great that Sabaton educates us in these events. Another song that I think is one of the best songs by Sabaton is Coat of Arms, the titlesong from their album released back in 2010. The tells the story of the Italian attack on Greece.
Ooh, yeah, that one rocks. "You think so, eh? Not bloody likely!"

Saw them several years ago in Vancouver as an opening band, louder cheer than the main act Nightwish. Joakim enters to Ghost Division doing a high kick. Nuff said.
@@Aughtel Ghost Division is probably their opener everywhere. Saw them in April this year. They had Lordi and Baby Metal as openers.

U responded pretty much exactly how I did when I 1st heard this song. I like WW1 & WW2 stuff, but Sabaton can make more ancient history epic in music also. When I 1st heard "IN THE NAME OF GOD!" it sent chills. I'm sure by now u hv Sabaton favs on your personal playlist. Seems this will go on it. This song gets better each time I hear it.
I can recomend my favorite of their songs but unfortuantly even Sabaton forget about her because they reupload or refresh their old songs exept this one. But still it`s really good, It called "Light in the Black". This song is dedicated to UN peacekeeper

Its really great to be able to get more information about what the songs are about, soo to do a song and then also do the sabaton history about it is a great way to get more information and also to sometime find out some great storys. I say its NEVER a bad thing or wasted time to learn more about our history. And to be able to combined this with great music from Sabton its just great, Indy Neidell (that do the sabaton history with Sabaton) is just an awsome guy to listen to.

I was in minor in college, and have always had a love of history, especially throughout the Renaissance and early modern all the way into the modern. Through the middle 20th century. I got to see them live last year. It was a great experience. The opening to their concert was a plea to help build a WW1 memorial in Pershing Park.
