In this first episode we talk about the hotdogs of Medellin, Colombia, which replace the original hot dog sausage with bacon slices, and are topped with double melted cream cheese and shoestring fries. This gastronomic jewel of the Aburrá Valley is a direct inheritance of the massive consumption of pork in this region of Colombia and its peasant tradition of serving large portions of food in every dish.

I lived in medellín in 2019 and I would frequently go and make the trip down to Envigado to have Héctor's famous perritas! This guy is a real icon, I remember him dancing salsa and singing 'Salchicha con Huevos' whilst serving customers.
They are so fuckin good I can't even explain. Pure greasy cheesy salty magic, amazing after a big night of drinking. fuck those were the days.....

Colombian accent is one of the very few Spanish accents I actually like. Most of latin american accents are overly or heavily accentuated and annoying lol

Damn, I feel like the subtitles didn't do it justice. A 'perro' is a dog or hot dog. A 'perra' is a female dog. So they call it a perra cause that's a perro(hot dog) without a wiener.
They translated it to 'frank' but the joke fails with that translation.

Sorry but I'm not Colombian so somtimes I can't understand when they talk too fast. I have Colombian friends so I could recognize the accent that its Colombian but sometimes its too fast or maybe slang that I cant understand. Thanks for the help in advance.

@@juanmcano4726 I think people misspell Colombia "Columbia" because of the popular coat company we have in the States. Everyone wears Columbia sweatshirts, and ski jackets. I rate my own spelling abilities as excellent, and until recently I spelled that word wrong too. It's similar to the word doughnut. We have dunkin donuts, a coffee shop. Everyone I know spells doughnuts donuts lol.

I am from Medellin and fly through bogota sometimes and always have to go and get a hot dog the best are from Colombia in my opinion street hot dogs with the potato chip bits and mayo with a strip of bacon 🤤 on top so good 🔥🔥🔥🔥I miss it
