You had a great foundation to work with in that interior - no real rips or tears, an OEM headliner with that many years is fragile, but you took the right steps. After you paint it dress it up with some nice wheels and you may just fall in love with it. Rangers a bullet proof and underrated.
It's amazing when you clean carpet and upholstery and see how fresh it all looks when done, and satisfying to get rid of all that dark brown yuck! This video makes me want to clean up my '94 Ranger!

It’s sad I just paid 5k 2 months ago for this truck. Same year trim color but the seats are different and I have a 5 speed. Thanks for the help cuz now it will look like a nice truck on the inside.
I watched your video then went out an pulled my seats out an did what you did an they came out amazing luckily I have the rubber mat instead of carpet so I just get a bucket with soapy water an a brush an elbow grease came out 👌
Excellent job. That truck is sanitized. I have a 97 also. Just got it a week ago. It’s clean inside. Some dents on exterior. 134,000 miles. Mine has a bad seat belt buckle too. Ran good for a week. Yesterday it started shaking at idle. Ordered a new air control valve on ebay. Hope that’s it.
Can you please... PLEASE do a 5.0 swap from an explorer from the same year? I wanna get a ranger and do the same thing with my grandma’s old ‘96 explorer 5.0 and I’m not sure what do do. I’m 17 and I really wanna get this done for my first car. Thanks a lot!
Coming here soon. Had to do quite a bit of work to get the check engine light cleared, pretty much every rubber hose was dry rotted out. Happy to report I’ve been driving the truck almost daily with little issue. Should get it polished up/ paint corrected here soon.
I have a 99 xlt with the same console and it has 2 cup holders built in to it and 2 cup Holders in the back then another 2 in front of the console with a little black piece so if it was me I would look about a 99 console and the fro t black piece then you'll have 4 up there should just be a factort bolt in piece

That’s the eventual plan, may take a year or so. But it will happen.

Hope you considered switching out those automatic hubs for manual, as they tend to break often on those years.
Yeah I’m working on getting everything beefed up soon. Just had to fix a blown head gasket on it. Video should be uploaded in the next few days.

That staining on the headliner is indicative of a failed gasket on the third brake light. A common problem in these vehicles.
Yeah i actually replaced the headliner and siliconed the 3rd brake light because it re-leaked.
