    Thank you Professor . You have simplified anatomy for me. It's now easy peezy lemon squeezy. Hopefully l will view a video on the greater and lesser sciatic foramen and some lymph drainage of lower limb.

    Can I please take you with me to my doctor appointments? You seem more knowledgeable then most doctors I've spoke too. I've seen over 23 doctors (a mix of GP, nuerologist, rheumatoid, cosmetic surgeons, a leg vein specialist etc.) and I've still not received any help. Though they love to try to push pills, offer you therapy or say it's in your head. Meanwhile I'm sleeping in a zero gravity chair,I can't lay on my right side. My piriformis and trochanter hurts all the time and even sitting on my right butt cheek is painful. Being destroyed twice by two different board-certified surgeons have destroyed my life. So, your video's are reminding me I'm not wrong about where I'm feeling pain and the more I look at medical studies the more I'm convinced there isn't enough research or enough of people discussing how bad neve pain is. I can't even get anyone to tell me if it's because my scars may have trapped a nerve and if the "posterior femoral nerves" can cause an issue if compressed from piriformis inflammation or if the trochanter causes issues into the piriformis. I would love to know how that would work for someone who also has LCFN issues despite no more burning it's all in my trochanter and sensory issues. I had a fibroid pressing on the same side which was removed which had my medial inner thighs swollen and changing color. My doctors didn't want to listen that it was adding to the nerves being compressed.Since the fibroid was removed my legs aren't having the issues but the pain I originally went in about in my piriformis and trochanter is still there. Yet, so far my doctors are not listening to me or even any theories or pointing to locations on my body. I want my life back.

    Thank you very much for producing this informative video. I fell heavily on my outer thigh across a stone step and I've had terrible nerve pain in my outer thigh for weeks. Worst pain when sitting and can't sleep on the injured side. Pain keeping me awake at night.

      Hello, I have the same problem as yours, I'm in pain since 2009 now. Did you find if it was cause by the lateral fermoral nerve?

    • @suzannahwhite4292
      @suzannahwhite4292 Před 6 měsíci

      @@yannickvimal yes it is. But I also have a slight bulge on a disk L3-L4 and it's pressing on the nerve route. I've started to feel a lot of relief by having Near Infrared light therapy (75% better after 3 x 15minute sessions). Look at Novothor - are you UK based?

    what would cause extreme burning pain to the inside lower buttock then going straight down back of thigh when sitting & also burns at outside hip when leaning left while sitting, any ideas?

  • @enigma1000
    @enigma1000 Před rokem +1

    How likely is it that a hip replacement operation would cause damage (compression or stretching, say) to the LFCN at the crossing with the inguinal ligament? I have exactly the sensations, or lack of sensations, described in this talk.

    • @cortnihansen5804
      @cortnihansen5804 Před rokem +1

      I had laparoscopic hip surgery and had an emg done recently showing this nerve was damaged. So it’s likely I would think.

    if you have the symptoms as you describe, down the outer facing thigh ( in exactly the area you state ) but also to a much greater ( pain / discomfort / burning ) extent on the inner face albeit a smaller area ( from groin down halfway to knee ) does this mean another nerve may also be compressed / damaged ?

  • @darcyg1974

    Can the nerve be restored? My LFCN has been damaged do to tummy tuck? Am I going to be in chronic pain for the rest of my life then?

    • @babydoll69jh
      @babydoll69jh Před rokem

      I'm also going through this. My surgeon messed up my first tummy tuck and another surgeon fixed it by saying I needed a 360 lower body lift. Then he left me with chronic pain and never damage. I've never regretted anything in my life until now. I'd take my loose skin back because I was told 1.3% was the odds of something going wrong. Clearly, surgeon's aren't being honest especially when you can't get help after. I've had pain in my piriformis and trochanter since.I've had LFCN burning and I'm numb but now my recent emg was stating it was a femoral nerve. Which made no sense and I still have zero answers about my pirfomis and why I can't even sit on my butt on lay on my right side. Good luck to you.
