Starved For Help: Siding with Lilly at the motel

- Choosing Lilly's side during the first few arguments of episode 2 lead to some different dialogue, and a good example of Lilly's softer side. Lilly's much more friendly here, and should you offer her food after the fact, she'll take it without question.

Kenny while siding with Lilly: "Great, way to take sides, Lee."

Which is one of the key moments which highlights for us one of the greatest negative aspects of Kenny's character (his hypocrisy and love of anarchy - though only when it's on his own terms, of course). Another good one would be...
"Yeah. But what has she done for me lately?"
Said in response to Lee when Lee reminds him that Molly (who Kenny dislikes/distrusts) had saved his life not even a day previously. This shows us that Kenny doesn't hold gratitude towards someone for very long, and will only continue to work well with others if they constantly prove their worth to him and his own personal goals. Another good one was dropped on us in season 2, which is of course...
"I don't know what the fuck you're saying, but I know it's bullshit!"
Which shows us that Kenny will aggressively clash with and disregard the opinions of his fellow survivors, without even taking the necessary time to first understand and consider their position on the topic at hand (something we saw quite a lot with Lilly and possibly also Lee during season 1, of course).
Telltale were pretty good at dropping these telling one-liners on us at various different points in the game, and they often weren't exactly subtle about doing it, either. Then again, Kenny's not exactly the most subtle of individuals, so I suppose that was actually quite fitting, in a roundabout way... Haha!

When I really look back Lily is not the real bad Villian, I believe season 4 she deserves to be redeemed.

This is actually the standard option for me, haha! However, even when putting my obvious Lilly bias aside for a moment, I genuinely do believe that this is the best choice all around. I mean, it calms Lilly down completely, and also serves to show her that you still appreciate everything that she has done for the group. Plus, Kenny doesn't take it TOO badly, all things considered (this IS Kenny, after all), possibly because he realised that Lilly was actually right ... at least in part. Kenny will even admit as much if you speak to him about it again after having the conversation about leaving for the coast.
So, yeah, this is the most sensible decision for me. A lot of people see choosing this option as being a bastard, but it actually makes you more of a pacifist than anything, as nearly all of the pro-Lilly decisions do ... er ... prior to the RV interrogation, at least. ^_^;
I wholeheartedly agree with you. People give Lilly too much shit even before S1 Epispde 3 and Season 4 came out and think she's a bitch. Also a lot of people think Kenny is right about everything even though he's not. The group does need a leader to maintain balance and peace. People can't just do whatever they want, otherwise everything will be a mess and unbalanced. This is the same reason why in the real world we have presidents/rulers for countries and bosses for our jobs. Lilly was really a good character, more pacifist than Kenny which most people don't believe sadly (even the wiki says Kenny's more pacifist and Lilly is the opposite of that) and was right about mostly everything besides killing Carley/Doug. However, in season 4 episode 3, they really butchered her character and made her a monster even though episode 2 and episode 4 (if you spare her in episode 3) made it seem like she could have redemption and made her still care about Clem and couldn't bring herself to kill her, but was just lost. One of the many reasons why I hate season 4 and think it's one of or maybe even the worst game in the series. The other one I really dislike is season 2, but it's probably better than 4.

that’s actually because the game doesn’t want you to choose the option the player chose in the video. normally lee states neutral or sides with kenny here and the dialogue plays over more smoothly, but instead awkward silence happens lol

Not really. Kenny, at this point, was actually more criticising Lilly's leadership, rather than merely talking about Ben and his companions anymore. As Carley says if she's alive at this point - "You're being dramatic! Everything always comes down to a power struggle between you two!"
Besides, you'll notice that Lilly's decision here (when you allow her to make the final call) is almost identical to what Lee says when you side with Kenny? Contrary to popular belief, Lee, Lilly and Kenny were actually all in agreement about what should happen with Ben and his crew - which is that they could stay to get themselves patched up and then leave. The group simply didn't have enough food to support new members at this point. So, as Lee, your only real job is to try and calm things down and make sure that everyone gets along again, which is more or less what happens if you side with Lilly here. Siding with Kenny just escalates the argument further and makes the atmosphere at the motor inn even worse.
