I like to imagine that the Piglins aren't trading with you, and are just opening space on their inventories for the gold.
Oh!
Good thought. đź
That's why they immediately equip Iron Boots when they drop them
factssss
Smart đ
well thought but they drop more items as you give them more gold. unnecessary since gold ingots stack
I didnât know theyâd pick up an enchanted golden apple thatâs so funny. They should make an achievement called âBuyerâs Remorseâ where you do just that, throw an enchanted golden apple at a Piglin.
Brilliant đđ
All achievements speedrun would go crazy w that ine
If you use a silk touch pickaxe to collect gold nugget ore, you can smelt it into a full ingot. It is the most efficient way to get gold ingots out of nugget ore, at the expense of coal etc
this + blast furnaces + lava buckets so no coal waste at all
Thanks, I didn't know about that))
Yup instead of 4-7 nuggets with fortune 3, you will ALWAYS have 9 gold nuggets with silk touch, gold ingots are 9 nuggets.
@@MasterMCGS mine 9 blocks of logs, turn them into 36 planks then 72 slabs and you have something equivalent to a lava bucket in terms of fuel duration. Logs are much easier to get, especially if you have a tree farm near you.
@@cerberus3671 Or just throw the blocks into a furnace and use a fuel source to smelt them into charcoal - just as good as coal, and once you have charcoal you can use it to make more. I rarely use coal ever since the villager update - I'd rather trade it with smiths.
After coming back to Minecraft after like 3 years I am SO glad I found your channel. Itâs like a whole new game đ
Good video! Things you missed:
âą Any golden armor worn by the player will deaggro Piglins 1:30
âą Barrels and ender chests also aggro Piglins 2:00
Ender chests count as chests (he did mention that chests aggro them), but you are right that he missed barrels
Also breaking gold blocks near them angers them
4:22
@@jordenberry3716 so I guess mojang coded them to get angry when you open their chests and steals their gold blocks in the bastion but they forgot to apply this rule only to generated chests/gold blocks in their structure. or it's a feature (the chest one I doubt it's a feature but the gold block one could be)
@@RafaelMunizYT the fact that itâs in bedrock and Java makes me thinks itâs intentional
One more thing to note about brutes. They are not afraid of zombie piglins or soul fire like normal piglins. Absolutely nothing will repel them.
Except death
@@AliceOnly671 well of course
This is so helpful! I've been trying to figure out the best way myself, and this is such a good guide
Glad to Help!
I agree . Very good explanation. Very well done.
@@Eyecraftmc umm wut happened to piglin trading in 1.18.2 because they won't pick the gold up u have to right click them with the gold now
Nvm figured it out lmao
@@woodspirit8245 what was your fix!?!??!
Once again you have provided a wealth of knowledge. I knew about wearing gold armor, about trading, babies being thieves, brutes being deadly, & that they sometimes dance after killing a hoglin. But had no idea they ran from soul flames or zombie pigmen, & the revelation of piglins becoming zombie pigmen was a shocker! Looking forward to your next Minecraft lesson.
It would be interesting to see you do a Let's Play or Skyblock, tutorials maybe if you like.
(Bedrock) The piglins don't want to pick up the gold overhead... This still work tossing the gold near their feet at the corners. Despite the build it is still very handy!
I'm having the same issue... The Piglins won't grab the gold from overhead (maybe they can't...?). I'm going to try putting upside down stairs to maybe help them out. We'll see.
Can't you just put the dropper and pressure plate one block lower? Or will their items just land there instead of going down into the hopper...
Edit: I built it, (bedrock) and also had the issue where they wonât pick up gold off the pressure plate. Now I just have a little trading post where I can trade with them manually 6 ingots at a time, so not a total waste.
@@lyamchassie2849 You might be on to something.
Another easy way farm for unlimited gold is to attack a Zombie Piglin that's near a horde, run away, make a two-block tall tower, then attack them from above. Because they don't have ranged weapons like normal Piglins do, so long as you have enough durability on your weapons and enough food to not exhaust yourself (as extensive fighting does wear down hunger pretty quickly, especially when jumping for crit damage), you'll be perfectly safe!
Your videos are of the highest quality I have seen on CZcams. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your hard work. Beautiful, detailed but clear instructions and tutorials; clean, easy to follow footage, and an ultimate coverage of anything regarding Minecraft. You are number 1!
I don't know if you have the time and mood to do this, but consider making building tutorials, for example, farms, etc. Your instructions really are something else!
I've been watching your videos for some time now, and your videos are super helpful and informative. You deserve way more subscribers and views and likes. Keep up the good work!!
Was just looking into Piglin bartering. Love your videos, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Super helpful vids even as a veteran i get suprised by things i didnt know till u post lol.
Its crazy what a complex game Minecraft really is, I try and cover as much of it as possible :)

I love your videos! Thank you so much for these informations
Came across your channel recently. Very helpful videos and quote interesting. I dont lose interest mid video which is sick. Keep up the good work man. BTW got some soothing way of speaking. Love it brođ
Awesome, thank you!
new fav yter, thx sm
Dude your guides are always so awesome and precise. I am sure the day you decide to make a guide about a freaking dirt block we will learn something new on it.
I love this channel, it's so underrated.
King of minecraft! You have taught me so much. Thanks man
This is what ive been needing in my life
That outro is actually very cool, definitely gonna try my hand at something fancier like that
My first ever couple trades with the piglins, ended up with me receiving ender pearls, soul speed enchantment, soul speed boots and a fire resistant potion. Thought this was typical but I guess I got quite lucky!
I had to read a whole stack of gold to get them numbers đ
The hopper idea is a new one to me thanks đ
Thanks for the guide.
Didnât know about the piglins not being able to de spawn if given armor! Thanks!
Thank you for including bedrock information.

You've earned my sub.
Hey everybody! This is a pretty good system, I will admit, however it does have a few problems with it that I have figured out how to fix if anyone is interested.
First of all, due to the amount of piglins he used in this video, it might cause a little extra lag due to all the entities. Personally, I wanted to use less piglins so my game would run better.
The first thing I wanted to change about this was the size - I wanted it to be a little more compact. So here's what I did to fix that:
1) place a double chest in the floor
2) Place three hoppers that go into the chest on the end of the chest (one on the end, and 2 others on the side that feed into that same chest block)
3) Place 2 tall glass tubes around both of the hoppers that the piglins will be in. They will stand on the hoppers.
4) Place 1 dropper facing into each of the tubes in place of a piece of glass.
5) put 1 piglin in each glass tube and fill droppers with gold
you should now have: 3 piglins standing on 3 hoppers which are feeding into a chest with a dropper facing each piglin
Now the new problem this has caused is in the video, gold is continuously being given to the piglins, and in our case, this is unnecessary. So, lets make a system that will automatically give gold only when it is needed.
1) make a hopper clock and put 9 items in it. ill put instructions below on how to make a hopper clock.
2) using Redstone, hookup the hopper clock to all of the droppers. depending on the setup you have, you might have to play with repeaters in order to get a delay on the droppers. our goal here is to make sure a piece of gold is given to each piglin at exactly the same time. personally, I had to have one dropper on a 2 tick delay, and another dropper with a 1 tick delay.
once you start your hopper clock, you should have a functioning and fully automatic piglin bartering system.
How to make a hopper clock:
1) place down 2 pistons facing each other with 2 blocks of air space between them
2) place a piece of Redstone behind each piston
3) Place 2 hoppers 1 block behind the pistons where the airspace of the pistons is. place the hoppers so they are facing into each other
4) behind both hoppers (next to the pistons) place a comparator so that the part with 2 lights is next to the hopper
5) Behind each comparator, place a random block
6) Put 9 items of any kind that are stackable in one of the 2 hoppers.
7) place a block of Redstone in one of the air spaces between the 2 pistons
8) place a lever next to one of the pistons
when you are ready to start the hopper, flip the lever. there are many videos on CZcams on how to make them if you find it hard to follow my instructions.
Notes:
-As far as I can tell, you don't need the carpet on the hoppers. you can add it if you would like.
-Some other hopper clocks might use comparators instead of a hopper clock, however I found that the comparators where in consistent and would not trigger sometimes. (I believe it has something to do with the item the piglin traded for the previous gold given)
-at this point, i know this system isn't really the same as the one in the video, but thank you very much to the owner for giving me a baseline system to work off of. i was not trying to take credit, just wanted to make the system a little better.
-something to do to pass time while trading is to break down ores or trade with villagers if they are in the same area.
trouble shooting:
-If the system suddenly stops with no apparent reason it could be because you moved and it left your render distance. if this happens simply reset the hopper clock and continue
-other wise, you can hookup a monostable circuit to the hopper clock. (correct me if I am wrong) but the monostable circuit should deliver 2 Redstone pulses. so if you get a lag spike and the Redstone wasn't able to trigger the first time, the monostable circuit will try to send another pulse and reset the system automatically.
If you come across any issues with this design please do let me know as i love a challenge and would be more then happy to solve your problem!

Can you do a video on bamboo/kelp/berry farms? Or something like how to survive in every biome would be very helpful.
Amazing and helpful guide!!
(edit) also didn't know they were scared of the zombie piglins!
Glad you enjoyed it
The ones in my game aren't afraid of the zombie ones. They also don't care at all when I open chests. I guess all three of my worlds are glitched in a good way or something.

My first two trades were enchanted boots and the enchanted book. Didnât realize how lucky that was.
Fantastic
That was a great, and very comprehensive, video. Thanks for that!
great content
Thanks!
Heyy I subscribed
Tried doing this farm man and itâs very much inefficient or effective made the exact thing but I learned the pressure plate turns of the the Redstone torch and the piglin donât even pick up the gold
A good way to lure the piglins near the auto trade farm, is to not wear gold armor to lure them nearby and then put it on and bait them with the gold afterwards
Thanks for this video, it was very useful!
Something else that angers piglins is when you mine gold near them because they think you're stealing it from them or something so they will start chasing and attacking you
In my game they aren't bothered by it at all.
14:28 lol! love the sarcasm.
A cheaper auto barterer only needs 2 R-Torches, a comparator, a dropper/dispenser, and a hopper, along with storage.
Make a 1x1x3 hole to hold the piglin (lets call him Larry), with a dropper at the top as part of the wall, a hopper as the floor, and a comparator pointing out of the hopper on the same side as the dropper.
Place a block in front of the comparator so it points into it, then place an R-Torch on the top of the block. Place another block on top of the first R-Torch, with another R-Torch on top of that block. The top R-Torch should unpower.
Fill the Dropper with gold, then power it with a button, and it should drop a gold for Larry. (Put some blocks around the Dropper if gold spills out.) Larry will pick it up, inspect it, and give an item, powering the comparator, which will go up the R-Torches to repower the Dropper, giving another gold to Larry. Larry should be able inspect it long enough to let it flush out. The cycle continues until you're out of gold!
In my bedrock survival world the first time I got to the nether, I got into the soulsand valley biome. A couple of blocks away there was a small crimson and a lot of piglins. I had around 2 stacks of golden blocks and I made one of them into gold ingots. I dropped them on the floor and while they were chasing me. I wanted to complete the achievement "Oh shiny". Even if I had no gold armour piece, they didn't attack me. They were to busy taking all the stacks I dropped on them
Bro you're so so good and smart
If you're playing bedrock edition, put the dropper and pressure plate between the two columns instead of above. Also, you need to add delay to the dropper system. So put a repeater coming out of the block under the pressure plate (facing away from the farm) and run the redstone around and back into the dropper. This is what worked for me. I think the dropper in bedrock is more delayed so the quickness of the pressure plate directly to the torch to the dropper doesn't work unless there is a time gap of a few ticks.
A interesting topic to cover might be raids
dis man does not miss, HE DOES NOT MISS.. quality after quality video đ„
deserves WAY MORE SUBS
I was in the middle of sealing in the Piglins when a Ghast saw me and blew up all the glass -_- I highly recommend building an explosion-proof enclosure around the farm!
I subbed
That baby Hogling did not want to do anything to you yet you hit it lol
Just a point of clarification, it doesn't need to be a gold helmet. From what I've tested, any piece of gold armor will do. I've worn gold boots and had no issues.
4:21
He said that in the video. Maybe listen to him before wagging fingers at him.
This dude knows a everything about this game respect
Thank you for the video. Curious, I received a few magma cream through piglin bartering, is this a bedrock thing?
u tilissimo grazie
i litterally got a soul speed 3 enchantment book on fifth try to get a ender pearl which is insane
love your videos. I appreciate your straightforwardness and the way you prove everything you are saying.
wow thank you for splitting up the video I find it very convenient
Glad it was helpful!
Finding nether wart outside of fortress or bastion is pain in the butt. Wish it still spawned on soul sand out in the wild like it used to.
he fr just putting stuff next to them that theyâre scared of talking about how theyâre scared and the piglins are like RUNNNN
I remember one gave me an iron helmet, and just proceeded to put it on like nothing happened. Couldnât even do anything but laugh.
0:49 proceeds to casually traumatize the piglin with no remorse
New sub here. Could you make a guide on transporting villagers and things related to them? Ty
Definitely will soon :D
This is a pain in the ass đ but i made a villager trading structure for all of enchanted books. I used rails, first get a villager out of my villager breeding farm, catch him by boat and row towards the minecart, get off and the boat with villager will automatically hop in minecart, sending him to my designated location, trap him there and give a lectern, break and give until you find the book you need. I ddnt do the zombiefied yet since its too much work
Me: (opens chest)
Piglin: And I took that personally
I love Minecraft
0:10 do a skyblock project, i think it will be awesome with your skills and PigStep
0:20 what the pigins doin!
At that point of the video they aren't doing anything. They're just standing/walking around.
i got lucky on my first few trades today and i got soul speed boots and potions
Nice!
so this was the first video to pop up for piglin trade system and i did everything exactly as the video suggested but i couldn't get it to work. I'm on bedrock btw. i press the button and then the gold just sits there the piglins don't do anything. and if the piglins do take the gold it doesn't dispense again, i have to press the button Again
Hmm, You could try replacing the block under the pressure plate with a piece of soul sand or you could lower the dispenser by one block then connect a clock (circular chain of repeaters) and then it should dispense in such a way that they can pick up the gold without it going into the bottom chest, If that doesn't work you might just need to use the piglin pit.
Maybe just maybe you put a zombified piglin, even just one will corrupt a normal piglin. Zombiefied piglins wont trade for golds
you can mine nethergold with silk touch and smelt it for a gold ingot if you'd rather do it that way
Confirmed to NOT work in Bedrock 1.19.... Ugh. The pigs can grab at eye level when you throw ingots. However, the dropper contraption is not working. I can throw a stack at a time direct between the cells where the button is and ingots will get traded without de spawning.
Can you do a guide on how to defeat the endear dragon?
WHY ARE BABY PIGLINS SO CUTE!!!
I keep reading "Piglin Bartending" and I imagine giving Piglins potions to drink
Man this guy is like the vinylicpuma of minecraft. Top tier fuckin info man.
if you have put the "mobs destruction" rule on false the piglin wont try to pickup the gold, which might be why some of you can't trade
I think that the piglins are like half villager and half pillaged because you can barter with them which is like trading and they have crossbows like the pillager
Is there a reason that trapped piglins donât grab the gold? The hopper dispenses and then the pressure plate is activated but the piglins wonât grab the gold. Please help
Maybe you forgot to place carpets, it elevates the piglins a bit I think
Pigstep is such a groovy track
Piglin bartering is one of the BEST things Mojang gave us in recent years, it came with the nether update and was a real game changer. It can make getting to the end SO much easier than waiting on and killing loads of endermen, which can be dangerous for new or inexperienced players because those dudes hit HARD. Even in full diamond armour one took half my hearts in one hit yesterday on hardcore, and I am what some people might call a 'pro' even though I don't call myself one because even I have not done everything in minecraft yet!. It can also be VERY tedious because the enderman spawn rate is really not that high compared to other mobs. When in bastions looking to find pigstep or netherite upgrade templates, a hopper is your friend. DO NOT open the chest!. Simply dig out a couple of blocks under the chest, drain the items into the hopper and break the hopper. This does not agro the piglins. Also breaking gold blocks will agro them too.
Having trouble getting the pressure plate to dispense more gold. The button will drop one gold, but it will stop after that.
Built the system exactly as you showed it including the gold pressure plate, but for some reason they aren't picking up the gold ingots. I play bedrock edition
Yeh it dosnt work cuz the redstone mechanics of bedrock are different
Watch jcplayz or silentwisperer instead
I'm having the same problem on Java
genius that you can trade for obsidian so that way if youâre super desperate to leave the nether you can trade for the obsidian and make a nether portal (assuming you remember a flint and steel)
You can get iron nuggets and gravel from trading so donât even need to bring a flint and steel
Fire charges also will light a portal
Very helpful will use in my hardcore world (ps. the red forest is called crimson forest I think)
true
This is torture LOL for the automatic farm
CZcams unsubscribed me. I subbed the other day and I had to do it again. đ€đ€·ââïž
interesting.. so thats why the piglins didn't kill me yesterday when I went past them.. because i wore something golden :'( and I wondered what happened lmao because one time I almost got killed by them
