Snow, you are bionic! I'm sitting in my house and every hill you climb is causing my heart to start dancing...I think it's tap dancing! The food, the views all wonderful. I could eat my weight in Feta cheese. Now, those roads...are something else.👀 Thank you both for taking us with you.
And again as always, a place I've never wondered about COMES ALIVE! Thank you so, so much for taking us with you! ❤️🙂
I have said it before but I’ll say it again. I absolutely love the history you guys share. I’m still binge watching your playlist and I can’t wait to fully catch up. Snow, watching the previous videos to now I’m so proud of the progress you’ve made and Curt, watching you support Snow and cheer her on as she navigates the heart issues is wonderful. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next. Back to binge watching ❤❤
Albania continues to be a wonderful country to explore……loved the colourful bazaar! 😍
Albania! My eyes are being opened! ❤
We are glad you enjoyed the video @myrnaedmisten599!
People in Europe are so polite and patient. Love your channel and the history you share. Stay safe ❤❤❤❤
always so much to learn about history....love it. thanks for showing us ❤
I think Skanderbeg, although a born warrior, would take great joy in seeing how peaceful and prosperous Kruje is now. His legacy shows in Albanian pride.
We Agree!
Beautiful tour and rich history and culture . Excellence in the hosts of this stream . Thanks a bunch for sharing ! 😊❤
This city just oozes history! Loved the drone footage of the whole city and was fascinated by the homes perched on the very top of the center hill.
Yes... perfect description! Oozing History!
Just fabulous!! This town, this country, is now on my bucket list. The food, the history, the people. I know I say it all the time but Thank you for sharing it with us! Love you guys!
Oh my gosh, you guys, I was drooling over your lunch! Mediterranean food is my absolute favorite ethnic food. In fact, it’s what I made for dinner last night! That town is incredible. I need to convince my husband to sell our house and travel around the world.
These small towns are so cozy and quaint, I would love to live in any one of them, and the history!!! Just fantastic what we can learn from all who came before us
Thank Curt and Snow 😊❤
Susie in Michigan
We are glad you enjoyed the video @Cali-Fornia1958!
Love learning all this history. Can't wait for the next episode. Glad you took a break Snow. Lots of climbing
This is great
Albania-who knew? Thank you for opening this corner of the world to us. Hope Curt finds some new slippers.
Right??? We are loving this country!
Love the aerial views ! and the history is very interesting ! 💜
I love the history information . It is funny, every-time I turn on CZcams and see you guys have a new video . The first thing I say out loud “ oh. It’s Snow and Curt.” Which is ok. But I live by myself. Hahaha .. I really love going with you guys thank you . Thank you for making my heart happy.
We are happy to share the journey with you!
Great video, Snow it’s amazing what you do physically and good to know you know when to rest. As always enjoyed walking with you. Thank you
The castle and bazaar are like museums with all that magnificent artwork and the artifacts they have. Loved your historical narration again, Snow, fascinating to learn all these stories from the actual locations where they occurred. And the food 🍱 does also look excellent. Stay safe. Love you.
I loved loved loved this ep. ❤ The walk up hill and the stunning views from the restaurant as well. That food looked so good and very healthy. It’s so good to get the history of the place as well. ❤❤❤
Another amazing city tour. As an artist, I’m in awe of the beautiful artwork on the castle walls. It must have taken years to paint in such detail. 🙌🏽❤ once again, Curt has outdone himself with the epic drone shots. So smooth you don’t even notice. Thank you for sharing! ❤ Hope y’all are able to rest up some. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
It would be difficult not to buy some of those dishes and rugs. Thank you for sharing. 😊
It is so hard.... but not having any space to store things sure makes it a bit easier!
Oh my! Snow!!! So much hill climbing. You showed us all how to visit a beautiful place and take it in with careful pacing. Thank you for the encouragement.
So well done. So much history that affected Europe that Linda and I can envision sitting in our LazyBoys thru your superb video presentations. If I was a school history teacher I would use your videos to educate my students on each countries history you present so well. If I was a gourmet chef who wanted to prepare foods of the world I would save clips from your dining adventures to try to prepare a unique dinner. Kudos to you both.
The way Snow explains so relaxing,i like your videos
👍🤩💝Awesome. I love history. I loved watching. Thank you for sharing your journey. 💝
Glad you enjoyed it

Not only do we get to share a beautiful city, town, beach, hike with you , but you give us the history of the place - which, sadly, most of us Americans are ignorant about - so, thank you, thank you. Stay safe by knowing when to sit it out while adventurous Kurt hits the crazy hikes. You are so restrained - I have no control and that market would have done me in - I will start thinking like I live in a van when shopping and maybe that will help. Have you seen that play-house at Costco? yeah, that is my weakness for next time my grandbaby visits and "needs" a playhouse - whilch I just happen to have. Love ya guys.
It makes it easier to say NO to lots of little things I would normally buy! LOL
Really loved the bazaar and appreciate you taking us through it all. Also, I really love how much you both enjoy local delicacies and share those with us as well. That is often my favorite part of traveling and even if I run across something I don't particularly love, the experience is always very rewarding. Thanks for taking us with you on your journeys!
Boy, I'm glad you're sharing your trip through these countries. Albania has been a marvel thus far! That castle and those murals? Frescos? Just stunning! So vibrant! And the story behind Skandervig(sp?) - amazing. He was brilliant about the olive trees too. What I am really loving too is seeing the food you guys are getting. It looks just fabulous -- I love a good tomato soup too! And the Feta salad--- Yum! And the moussaka... mouth-watering. I always seem to see your videos when I'm already starving LOL. And Snow, you look healthier and healthier as we watch you two go places. You are losing so much weight - you look like a different person since your earlier videos and that can only help the HF! So happy that you are doing well! I'm definitely adding Albania to the bucket list.
Thanks for taking us along and sharing all this history with us . ❤❤
Our pleasure!
Loved the homemade guard rail!
Loved the Bazaar. Rugs were pretty
I know you would've looooooved Berat "the town of 1000 windows" and Gjorokaster amazing vibes and really old school Middle-ageesque
This was fantastic!!! I enjoyed going in the shops and seeing the old and the new items. I love seeing what you pick for local food and that castle was amazing!!
I am so amazed at how well you are doing Snow!! That was a lot of climbing!
Glad you enjoyed!
Good Morning Curt and Snow. Enjoying a your videos.
O! Those narrow roads! The fòd lòks just so fresh! I imagine it tastes better better in the states. Some how, the tomatoes are looking juicy and red, the Feta soo yummy and that olive 🫒 oil has to be next level.
The history is so interesting to me. I think that gentleman had a good 👍 idea when he asked that the each newlywed couple, plant an olive tree instead of purchasing a marriage certificate. Brilliant.
I thought you had just about worn yourself out climbing up all those stairs up to the town and uphill to get to the restaurant. The view was awesome even with haze.
That is a very steep mountain.Curt is probably up for challenge. Restwell. And as always, great video. C U next time!🎉🎉🎉
We are glad you enjoyed the video @ForeverChanged7!
How Bizarre OMC What a great song... LOVED your reference there Curt!!!
We are glad you enjoyed the video @caracooper7383!
I take my hat off to you Snow, no way could i have walked from that camp ground to the town, you go girl, as always great video, best wishes to you and Kurt,🙏😌❤️👏👏👏👏
It was a 'good one' for sure... and I deserved a rest! LOL
Wow another amazing video, so interesting how the other parts of this world live, so interesting, thank you
There was a most amazing ribbon of road. At 12.12 minutes, down in the valley is this strange road. It looks like the road goes up vertically. There is a u turn half way up, but the road is very white and looks like it goes straight up. I had to view twice to get a good look. ❤
Thanks for the wonderful video. So much history.
What a wonderful town of History. The pictures that you took of it are so beautiful. Just as a side note you two are looking so good as you travel over the years I think you're both getting not only in better shape but I think you guys look better and better each year! Your lunch looked so good I love olive oil on things and looks like they have plenty of olive oil. Do you cook with olive oil in the van? I personally use grapeseed oil because it doesn't smoke at high temperatures. But will use olive oil from time to time. I look forward to Saturdays and Wednesdays and seeing how your journey is going each week. Like I've said before you two are my very favorite couple to watch I feel like you've become friends even though we've never met. Have a wonderful weekend I will see you on Wednesday.
Thanks, @cgreen186! We sure feel better too!
Impressive city. Thanks for all of the info of the area.
Thank you for bringing me along.
Thanks for tuning in @dennismatthews6660!
I just discovered this channel and you guys are already in my country. I hope you enjoy Albania, and make sure to spend some time there. Especially the south coast, you will love it!!
We had no idea what to expect from Albania...but, we are LOVING your country! It is beautiful and the people are so kind!
If you guys are still in Kruje I would strongly suggest you have dinner or lunch at Panorama Restaurant, it is a mix of farm to table and traditional food, where I would also suggest you leave the menu asside and ask the waiter/waitress suggestion. A traditional platter, the house meatballs and whatever specials of the day.
Have fun in Kruje and in the rest of Albania, and if you need any suggestion about anything (but especially food) ask away.
Just Love these small villages and their crafts & creations!! ... Keepin' a prayer on you two for real & sensible roads ahead ... It looks like a real challenge to keep a heart-healthy diet around there tho ... but that lunch today looked totally healthy. Snow, do you have a doctor's visit coming up soon over there in Europe? Please keep up with your rest 😺💜
Doc visit is right around the corner!
I love these videos . The history is awesome.
Epic, spectacular and amazing ❤❤❤ enjoy 🎉🎉
Absolutely love you guys, thank you for sharing your adventures ❤
Thanks for watching!
Loved the rugs ❤ it must be hard resisting due to your Van life.
I actually wondered if they could use one of those rugs as a runner in their van.
I really love and appreciate your history lessons!!!
Another great video with a fascinating insight into Albanian life and customs. The museum at the castle looks amazing, and it's interesting to see the straps round the clock/watch tower; I guess they're helping to hold it together against the ravages of time. Its also fab that the original bell is still in place. So many around Europe were melted down during the second world war for munitions, it's rare to find originals.
You are right it served as watch tower also,a strong earthquake hit Albania in 2019,and damaged the tower ,that's why it has straps around.
We did not even think about the bell being special because it wasn't melted down! WOW!
Good morning, cheers. Great adventures, thank you. 🎉🎉🎉😅
Snow and Curt reminds me of Marianne and Chris from Tread the Globe
Loved the music in this video…. Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us…. I look forward to all your videos. You take us places that most of us will never be able to make take…… but watching you guys is entertaining as well…. Kurt you should have bought those slippers…. You can’t find those just anywhere…. And the food looked so appetizing!
Food looks good wish i could taste it!
That's so Awesome!
Snow you are doing great with all the climbing youre doing. Lucky to have Kurt watching out for you
Such an interesting video!
I love history! Great info.
Glad you enjoyed
Love your videos and so informative!
Hiii...good morning from Beautiful Orlando FL. I moved here 7 months ago.
I absolutely love your videos. I know your having way to much fun.
Always an exciting learning experience ❤ Thank you😊
Nice think for sharing
Thanks for watching
Driving through old town is always interesting with a van 🫣
My Papou was born in southern Albania in approximately 1887.
❤
Thanks for the tour. Amazing history of olive trees.
🙏
I agree with others. You give us great history and geography lessons that are so interesting. What a gorgeous view.
One of your pass posts inspired the Greek salad I made and ate last night.
You guys are so cool. I'm right there with you. Cheers
That is a beautiful country
How long does the olive oil last? From the locals, pressing it themselves? That sounds AMAZING
Seems like you could use one of those rugs as a runner in the van. Shake it out when it gets dirty ☺️
I ALMOST got one... but I think it was a couple of inches to wide!
No wonder people around the Mediterranean live so long with such quality farm to table foods, not highly processed factory farm to table you see here in the US. If you want anything of quality here it will cost you an arm and a leg although we have the most abundant prime farmland in the world!
Hey Snow and Curt, love your content and have a question. I will be going to Albania in a few weeks. From what I read it sounds like they don't like to take credit cards and you need to carry Lek to pay for things. Have you found this to be the case? Thanks so much.
Curt, is it possible you could hike one of your bikes to the town for snow to make it easier for her to get around?
Thanks for all your vlogs. I really enjoy them. Just curious, when you eat at these restaurants, do they accept credit cards? How about at the bazarres? Cash or credit.?
In the smaller rural towns you usually need cash. But, in tourist spots you can usually use a card. We prefer to use cards... but we also make sure to always carry some of the local currency. Oh... and sometimes they will add 2%-5% for using a card.
@@SnowAndCurt Thanks for your answer. You two are so lucky to be doing this.
What a wonderful video! It gets better and better each week. You are both masters at presentation and education. From the winding roads through the countryside to the ancient stone steps into the city…..the amazing foods and drinks, the friendly people, the ancient buildings and cultural items for sale, your videos are fascinating. They should be shown in schools everywhere to teach the children how beautiful their world really is and how much ALIKE we all are. That is being lost to them these days. Thank you for all you do to bring these priceless images and truths to us each week. 🤗👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🙏

As Mousakka, Feta, Dolmades and such are actually Greek foods, clearly there has been a strong influence left throughout history - but equally, the Turkish influence (Ottomans). Very interesting. And yes, utterly delicious! The number of shops in the bazaar with more or less the same goods has one wondering how on earth they actually make a living. I guess there will be a tourism boom for part of the year which they have to spread out over the rest. What a truly lovely town, though. As am now myself driving a long van into some very narrow spaces, you have my fullest admiration for the navigation of those streets!!! YAM xx
they are Balkan and Middle Eastern (Mediterranean) foods ....there was no greek ect cousin before the 19th century
the Greek state existed after 1821 and their heads of state and national heroes were mostly orthodox Albanians ...instead those who governed it before were Bektashi, Albanians they weren't even Turks
@@lagjescuni5482 Thank you! Always good to learn more... till now I have only known these foods via Greek connections, so your correction is appreciated! Yxx
Who did your intro ? It’s so fun 🤗
A girl on Fiverr... She did a great job, huh?

Do you ever buy a favorite item to ship home for your home when you retire from travel? I know shipping can be/is prohibitive.
Get a rug too, no regrets!
Hmmmmm.... I am thinking that you would be dangerous to shop with! LOL
Do you have to tip at restaurants?
1466 the castle was surrownded by 8 thousand ottoman troops against a few thousand albanian venecian and troops from naples. The sultan was present himself, but the siege was unsuccessful.
That's why he's a war hero! 😳😳😳
@@SnowAndCurt by 80 thousand not 8
Watching your video about "Scanderberg" - the Albanian war hero was called Iskander Bey.
During WW2, although Albania was nominally neutral, around 9000 men volunteered to serve with the German armed forces (the Heer). As non-Germans they couldn't serve in the regular army - the Wehrmacht - but could join the Waffen-SS. About 9000 men did join the SS and formed " Waffen SS-Division Skanderberg ". Albania was just one of many European countries who provided volunteers for the SS.
Iskander Bey was called by ottomans ...it's not a name but it was a nickname and also a title his name was Gjergj....
A lot of countries had volunteers to fight, for the Germans,Albania was the only country in Europe which was liberated without allies help, and the country which had more Jews after the war than before coz Albanian people protected them and hosted them in their houses.
Do you have any recommendations for videos to watch for editing insta360 videos?
Nope... we just kind of dove in and figured it out the hard way!
If you love tomatoes try grated tomatoes, rub your toast with a little olive oil, then rub a piece of garlic on top, then the tomatoes....
Thanks for the tips!
It’s crazy to see people smoking. I haven’t seen a cigarette in years.
Pam here….some of your meals are HUGE…do you pack up left overs to take back to van? I remember in Spain the culture wasn’t really geared to ‘doggie bag’ or take home left over mentality. Wondered what it is was like there??
Here it's easy to take leftovers 😁
Buy the slippers, NO regrets!!
In good humour, my wife and I are amazed at how much food you put away, you need the walk...lol. Great video as always....Keep strong both of you :)
Looks like we could never be able to pull an American Rv through Europe . Looks like your van is like a C-class over there. Be careful out there
You absolutely took the wrong way to get to Kruja. There is a decent road to the city, but i think google maps brought to those roads.
Do you like Albania?
Looking at the war "left-overs" makes me want to show those who think communism is great, what it did to this country.
You guys are starting to enter the blue zone. Keep eating that diet along with red wine, smoking cigarettes with the old men at the local cafe and dancing with virgins in the town square at night and you will live to a hundred :)
