The President of a country represent an office in the government of a country but an ambassador represents the country as a whole - (the Government and people)
Fun fact Outside of any Country:
      --------------------------------------------------
      - You do anything to the president of a country - This simply means you did something to the person or the President of that country and that is it!
      On the contrary -
      - If you do the same thing to the Ambassador of that same country? It means you have done that thing to the Country as a whole not to that same person or just a person...
In summary the President represents the position of a person in a country while an ambassador represent the Government and the whole country as an entity so the consequences of messing with an ambassador is way higher than that of even a president... even though the president appoints and has power over the ambassador
That is the way it works.... Tinubu was not just receiving the ambassador or high commissioner or Australia, he was receiving the conferred representative of the government and the people of Australia not just a person representing an office in the Australian government.
Messing up an ambassador is literary challenging the sovereignty and challenging the authority of and legitimacy of a whole country, this it not so with a president.
