I can't think you enough for your videos on "how to" for my new Brother SE400. Was thinking I'd have to go to college and get a degree! Now I can't wait to get started sewing. I'll be back when I'm ready to embroidery my heart out.👵

Your videos are very superior when compared with the instructional video CD that came with the Brother sewing machine. Brother should get you to create instructional videos for them because what Brother now furnishes is almost useless. Being new to sewing and embroidery, you are my go to when I need to find out how to do anything on my new Brother that I got for Christmas. I love all of your videos. My message to Brother: "Pay this guy to create your instructional videos because his video is great and the narrative is spot-on."

GREAT videos on this machine (also applies to SE425, which just comes with an extra disc of patterns). If you are like me and like to see something done rather than read about it, he has an entire series on this machine, along with his many other videos. I think you even have the video I need to fix a friend's Singer tension issue. YAY! I can fix any machine that's older than me without help, but that's going back aways, cause I just turned 50. These newer machines are a wee bit more complicated, even the 80s vintage Singers.

I have not had this issue. I have heard people say that the type of thread they use has affected the bobbins behaviour though. Maybe try different thread? I hope this helps... Good luck and thanks for watching and posting.

I just purchased my machine about a month ago and have been watching the videos on embroidery since I have no clue how to sew. However, my girls wanted to learn to sew and when I changed the pressure foot my friend (who has been sewing for 25 years) couldn't get the material to flow through the foot. It was as if the pressure foot was so tight that the material couldn't get past but I reviewed as many videos and can't find where we might be going wrong. I tried 2 different PF's but the embroidery part works great when I switched everything back over, just to verify.
You are my last hope in fixing this issue because were lost at this point. I don't foresee me being an avid sewer but I would like to use this option for some ideas I had for Christmas gifts.

Janice Drake Janice I had the same issue. on the back of the machine below the pressure foot there is a button that goes off if you get a jam and it moves over if you just move that button back in material should fit through
Might be a stupid question......when embroidering a design with multi colours / or any embroidery really...what bobbin thread (underside) do you use? I've got a machine on it's way and a long list of projects and gifts so can't wait to get the machine and stabilizer and thread....but I'm not 100% what I'm doing on the bobbin thread....I'd be extremely grateful for your help please ? I'm about to order 40WT /40 TEX embroidery thread for the top. Thank you in advance and thanks so much for your really helpful videos so far! :)

Don't know if anyone has this also: after using (the correct!!) bobbins a few times, the plastic bobbin aint doing well anymore. Bought several new ones, but found out that if ye put a tread into the bobbin, the machine pics it up and the bobbin winds too correctly!!!
