    Thank you for this lesson. Sometimes it is necessary to go back to the basics.

    Yes, I agree with Gail, a light bulb moment. Now you have explained the process of looking ahead to see whether it should be a right or left click, it all makes sense and so much easier to make the decision. Thank you for an informative tutorial.

    Lightbulb moment here after watching this video - thank you. I was wondering why not all my curves were looking like they should - now I know to look ahead when deciding if it is a right-click or a left-click when digitizing blocks.

    Thanks John for the refresher! Can you add to your growing list of topics how to do various satin stitch techniques for wide columns? Eg: random split stitches to help blend away the split? (In Hatch)

    How do I set up hatch to join closest object.? Thank you.

    John, do you suggest using Wilcom Hatch's "auto spacing" or do you use manual spacing for your satin columns?

    I had a digitizing program before i purchased. Hatch. I was able to widen satin stitches by percentage or mm's. Does Hatch have this ?

    Do you have to set nearest joins in the settings or is it just there. I have Digitizer MBX V5.

      Usually yes, unless I desire to go off “auto-pilot” for some reason.

    Thanks :) So once you've made the mistake of crossing over for the block, how do you fix the twist? I made a perfect, long satin block but when I viewed it, there's one small area that is messed up and I can't for the life of me get it to untwist :(

    • @EmbroideryLegacy
      @EmbroideryLegacy  Před 5 lety +1

      Michael C usually redigitizing the object is the easiest fix, otherwise you need to go in and manually reverse the nodes from each side from the point that you messed up.

      @mtcampbell1 Před 5 lety +3

      @@EmbroideryLegacy Yeah, I tried manually removing and inserting points, but it was just a mess. I ended up "pulling up" the nodes below the twist to meet the nodes above the twist and that worked :). Now there's a secret twist !

    Is brother pe design 10 pretty similar to the software you’re using?

    Very interesting, thank you. What would the advantage be of using this method over, say, outlining a letter with just one segment (say, an "s") as a closed shape then manually adding stitch angles?

    • @EmbroideryLegacy
      @EmbroideryLegacy  Před 4 lety +1

      Stephen Lorimor personally I find it a bit faster as I’m essentially creating the outline and angles at the same time.
