  • Just like a mechanic, sometimes you can’t identify the extent of a job until you get a chance to look underneath the hood. That's the story of this design. When I saw this design posted in our FB Group I thought it would be an average edit. However, once I got a chance to see the file in my software, I quickly realized that was not the case.
    So, scrapping it as an “editing” lesson we’ll need to digitize this entire design manually. Fasten your seatbelt and join me in this educational digitizing video as I’ll take you through all the steps and theory needed to get this design back on the road to “keep on trucking”.
    Thanks for watching!

    I really like the idea of hiding the travel stitches in the lettering into the fill by keeping that guideline in mind! thanks!

    Hi JD very nice work. I've tried to add connectors between letters before. The letters were from a font in Hatch. The program saved my connectors as separate objects and I actually increased my trims. I cried copious tears of bitter regret 😢... I kid. But it was frustrating. What is your advice? I saw that you laid in your run stitches using open shapes then switched to closed or blocks for your fills. How do you get hatch to connect your connectors. Thoughts? Thanks 😊

      @EmbroideryLegacy  Před 2 lety +1

      ESA fonts automatically join closest point, not an easy edit, you have to break it all apart and be very careful how you insert the connectors and drop stitches.

    Not understanding the stitch direction guideline purpose? Is this different than angle? What part of the theory education do I need to focus on for this part?

    • @EmbroideryLegacy
      @EmbroideryLegacy  Před 2 lety

      Guideline was for the satin and manual stitches so the would be the same angle as the fill, which was done last.

    What is the difference between Wilcom 4.5 and Hatch software? there is a lot of price difference between them, that is why my question since apparently they are very similar.

    • @EmbroideryLegacy
      @EmbroideryLegacy  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Tonio, E4.5 is commercial and has a steeper learning curve, commercial application/formats, more paid module and more expensive. Hatch is an easier interface geared to the home market, very powerful in that I can digitize at the same speed with the same stitch quality as and end result.
