  • This is a recorded class on beginning digitizing with StitchArtist. If you are looking for videos on how how each of the tools work, you will want to visit the StitchArtist playlist on the Embrilliance youtube channel linked here: • Digitizing Basics with...
    This recording is more like a class that talks about what digitizing is, working with a graphic and creating an embroidery design. Supplemental materials including the JPG files used in the presentation can be found on the Embrilliance website linked here:

I started to learn digitizing almost 17 years ago when I bought my software and at that time there were not any resources to find out what tool does what function and I had to wing it! I’m an experience vector artist who normally works in illustrator for vinyl prints etc. over the years I’ve been considering adding embroidery digitization as some clients has inquired.
    Over a few weeks now I’ve been looking at several digitizing software, however not much detail tutorials seems to be available with proper steps explained.
    You did great with your explanations and just with this one video I have made a decision on getting level 3. Also, I will now order a single needle embroidery machine to test designs and refine and improve skills.

How do I digitize it so that the bottom layer does not show through the top layer. I know how to remove the underlay and adjust the density to get to the sketch part, but don't know how to

Would it be possible for you to do a video or point me in the right direction to digitize small letters? the only stitch i can get to look halfway decent is a run stitch for the outline. It looks so shoddy in the software I didnt bother finishing. Again, even a website will help. I am having no luck trying to find info specifically for stitchartist lvl 1.

    • @Embrilliance
      @Embrilliance  Před 3 lety

      Since you don’t have controls of The higher levels you will need to break your objects and possibly digitize your own underlay separately. Look at small fonts that stitch well in your software and practice replicating what you see.

    Hey Lisa. Great video. I have wondered about the ladder stitch and followed your procedure in my software as I watched your video. My question is, how do you get the nodes to automatically open as cusp. I've noticed in other tutorials your nodes will automatically open as cusp. Is there a way to choose which type of node I want before before I begin drawing with points? I know I can change them one at a time, but getting them to start out that way is a huge time saver.
