How I make Emulsified Body Scrub PLUS where to get the recipe

- I asked my Patrons for an ingredient they would like to see me incorporate into a product. I put all the suggestions into a soapy jug and the one I drew out came from Ann Egan who runs Burnett Bath & Body ( profile.php?...) and she suggested Fig Extract.
This is a tricky one to work with but thought it would go perfectly in a tweaked version of the Emulsified Body Scrub recipe I was sharing with them this month.
Today, I am going to show how I make the scrub and if you are interested in getting the recipe, it can be found on the Create with Soy and Shea Patreon Shop page ( / shop )
If buying the recipe, there is also a second tweaked version turning this into a coffee scrub.

The lower the pH, down to 4.5, is better for your skin. Learned that in cosmetology school a long time ago.
It's all dependent on the product you are making. Most lotions are 5.3 to 5.8. Not many are below 5
Hi there. I think you didn't get the colour you were hoping for from the madder root because of the pH. I think higher alkalinity is required to get the red from Madder Root,
