THE MOONGLOWS "SECRET LOVE" LIVE - 1980

Several months before his passing, Bobby Lester and his Moonglows (Gary Rodgers, Robert Ford, Billy "Brad" McPhatter) traveled to New York City to perform at the legendary Beacon Theatre. This acappella performance of "Secret Love", first recorded by the group in 1954 for Chance Records, is from Bobby's final filmed performance.

Amazing to think that Bobby Lester Dallas died a very few mos. before this performance on October 15, 1980 from lung cancer. Billy 'Brad' McPhatter is, of course, Clyde's son.
