Be right in thinking from 1959-65 the English league had 7 different football clubs as champions in a row.
    1959 Wolves
    1960 Burnley
    1961 Spurs
    1962 Ipswich
    1963 Everton
    1964 Liverpool
    1965 Man Utd

+Mike Garland Indeed. Peter Baker died today, the Spurs full back. No doubt he'd have tackled Ray a few times. RIP both.

Is the announcer for this eight minute documentary a "Monty Python" guy? Seriously, I'm not being a "crude Yank." I came across this piece because I happened on Burnley CZcams videos by happenstance and have fallen in love with Burnley, despite the fact I've never been there. Went to London and Darby in the late 90's but never got to experience Burnley. Oh how you Brits love Football. Despite the fact my late Mother was born in Germany, and I usually root for them, I'd love to see England win a World Cup like you guys did back in 1966. Germany is becoming the NY Yankees of soccer (sorry!) Football. I grew up a Yankee fan in New Jersey, but they win all the time. I think you crazy Brits would crash your rock into the sea if you ever won another World Cup. Damn your pubs are so awesome! The US has bars, which have no Soul, most of them. You Brits have Pubs. Or, at least you used to. I heard Burnley has changed. Hope not too much for the sake of posterity. Now Go Win The Cup You Crazy Brits. WE LOVE YOU!!!

Erich L. Ruehs The announcer you hear is football commentator Gerald Sinstadt.

Thank you, sir. Did you grow up listening to him? He's got not only a great voice, but a real sense for the game. As a Yank I didn't watch much "soccer" but highly respect the game. And this guy does what every great announcer should do ... make the game more fun to watch. FOOT NOTE: Around circa 1978 we went to Cosmos games at The Meadowlands in New Jersey. Wish this Gerald fella was announcing them. Another footnote; knew someone that, even though not that big, was Mick Jagger's body guard at a Cosmos game. Said Mic was rude and just drank beer the whole time. Then again, he wanted to watch the game and not have every asshole in the joint come up to him. But he said Mic was really into the game and that's cool. And, as someone that lived in New Jersey for many years, there are a lot of ass hole fans.

Yes Erich, Gerald was a mainstay of football commentary in the 70's & 80's.
      Best wishes from Burnley!

It was a series mate, it was on football focus on a Saturday afternoon around 1991, it featured liverpoo, Everton, Man Utd, Derby, Leeds, arsenal, Ipswich, spurs, my club Manchester City , and I think Forest. I’m sure they’ll all be on here.
