  • We are back working on the 69' D200 Sweptline Cummins build. We need to take the first gen frame (131 inch wheelbase) and stretch it 29 inches to accommodate the crew cab Sweptline. Make sure top subscribe to follow this build!

I actually find this really interesting Devvon because your crew cab is 160 inch wheelbase and my crew cab is a significant amount shorter than that and it’s funny because we chose to go with a second GEN 3500 cabin chassis that measured 163 inches so we basically have to cut what you added

That’s what we wanted to do at first, but this first gen price was unbeatable, so jumped on it!

I actually just bought a d350 cummins donor for my 1970 d200 single cab long bed

I have a 1967 W 200 that the door hinges are rusted so bad the doors drop as you open them, you ever run into this problem and do you have a fix

Interesting, haven’t seen that yet. Probably would be best to just replace them, if they’re similar to the 69-71 trucks, we probably have a set

@@RealSteelFabrications I've looked at it and I may have cut the front fender off try to weld a plate where the hinge attached and reweld them, the 67 is the same as 69. right now Iam using the truck as a boom truck, they put alot of salt on the roads here in Alaska

That is not how you cut the frame. You will snap it in half
