    I own 2 MOVE 4K cameras and Love the image processing, love the focus sharpness, very impressed. I wanted to ask if there will be a firmware update to adjust the speed of the motors when fully zoomed in at 30K. Compared to other cameras like the Marshall and BirdDog it is quite fast and snappy. Can we expect this fix anytime soon? Thanks so much.

      Hello!
      Due to limitations of the cameras hardware, we're unlikely to achieve slower speeds.
      The Move 4K firmware is now available in beta.

    Hello. We recently purchased the move SE and I was wondering if there’s a way to make the movement of auto tracking a little slower? With the current movement, it moves a little too fast so it isn’t nice to watch. Also, you mentioned presenter lock is available on the SE but I’m not seeing the setting in the manual, not sure if I just missed it.

    I am planning on creating a video of my kids hockey game. I will mount the camera at center ice on a mount directly above the glass. Will this camera be able to auto track with the speed at which the game is played from that close to the ice? Do I need a controller or am I able to launch and record operations auto tracking from my laptop which will be my recording device also? Thank you in advance.

      Hi Tom, the auto tracking may work better from on side of the rink or the other. From above it could definitely work. Going from side should help with the fast movement. You will need our free software (the CMP), a joystick, or the IR remote to trigger auto-tracking ON/OFF. You can definitely record the video on your laptop. It would require a network connection or WiFi. Depending on where you put the camera power via Ethernet may be ideal. Your computer should be connected to that same network

    Can there be left and right "tracking limits"?
    When auto-tracking is turned on, we want the camera to track people walking back and forth on stage. If they walk off the stage, we don't want it to follow the person. HOWEVER, we don't just want pan/tilt limits since when we are NOT auto-tracking, we want to be able to have the camera look around freely 360 degrees. Is this doable?

    I have the Move 4K and when I turn on auto tracking through the web interface nothing happens. I can't do it through the remote as we sit behind the camera. What can be wrong?

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  Před 4 měsíci

      Hello!
      If you're experiencing issues with enabling auto-tracking on your PTZOptics Move 4K camera through the web interface and are unable to use the remote control due to your position relative to the camera, there are several potential reasons for this issue and steps you can take to troubleshoot it:
      Firmware Update: Ensure your PTZOptics Move 4K camera is running the latest firmware. Outdated firmware can lead to various operational issues, including problems with auto-tracking functionality. You can find the latest firmware and update instructions on the PTZOptics website.
      Web Interface Compatibility: Ensure that you are using a compatible web browser. Try accessing the web interface through different browsers (such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, browser compatibility issues can affect the functionality of the web interface.
      Network Connection: Verify that the camera is properly connected to your network and that you can access other network features without issues. A stable network connection is essential for the web interface to function correctly.
      Camera Settings: Double-check the auto-tracking settings within the web interface to ensure they are configured correctly. There might be specific parameters or thresholds that need to be adjusted for auto-tracking to activate properly.
      Camera Position and Lighting: The effectiveness of auto-tracking can be influenced by the camera's position, the subject's distance from the camera, and lighting conditions. Ensure the camera is strategically placed and that there is sufficient lighting for the camera to detect and track the subject accurately.
      Reboot the Camera: Sometimes, simply rebooting the camera can resolve temporary glitches or issues. Try turning off the camera, waiting a few seconds, and then turning it back on.
      Reset to Factory Settings: If the problem persists, consider resetting the camera to its factory settings. This can often resolve issues by clearing any incorrect configurations that might be causing the problem. Be aware that this will erase all current settings, so you should only do this as a last resort.
      Technical Support: If you've tried the above steps and are still facing issues, it might be best to reach out to PTZOptics technical support for further assistance. They can provide more in-depth troubleshooting or determine if there's a hardware issue with your camera.
      Remember to document any changes you make, so you can easily revert them if needed or provide detailed information to technical support if you decide to reach out to them.

    9:27 Really wish that activating auto-tracking on the Move SE would NOT “zoom out to add some headroom” as seen here, but instead be configurable to respect the framing established prior to activating it.
    Our team’s preference for a tight waist-up shot pretty much means we can’t use the tracking feature right now.

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  Před 6 měsíci +2

      We are working on adding this feature. When you are zoomed in as you mention, the camera can more easily lose the subject, but there is a firmware update coming soon…

      @@PTZOptics Hello, any update when this update will be out? This is a deal breaker for us as it zooms so far out that it’s unusable for our ministry.
      Is there any way to zoom in once auto tracking has been activated?
      Thank you.

      @@PTZOptics Same here. When I turn on auto-tracking, my Move 4K zooms out really far. I could live with that somewhat, but the framing is always terrible, with the presenter's head way too low in the frame. Makes it basically not worth using until it can be set differently. Also, when I turn off auto-tracking, the camera resets to Home. Not sure how to keep that from happening.
