I'm having a problem with the soft focus on these cameras :( They seem to like more of the background than the subject.
We got a Move 4K for our Church to follow the pastor but the camera keeps hunting focus.
Zooming in or out, the camera can't lock on focus.
Also its hard to engage auto tracking if you can't point to the IR sensor.
Hope you app has a button to engage auto tracking.

We will soon release the focus calibration tool for the new web UI. Have you tried a firmware update on the camera and turning the camera to manual focus with a focus lock?
With the PTZOptics Web UI or the CMP (Camera Management Platform), you can turn on and off the auto-tracking instead of using the IR remote control.

I got a cheap mini pc to have the CMP installed and do all the camera controls there. I am using camera presets with manual focus to avoid focus hunting. I also have the Aperture to max to have more sharpness. These cameras are soft focus. And the darn JVCs are hyper sharp lol. But have horrible dynamic range. Would like to change them all to PTZOptics and move the JVCs to the second campus. Volunteers are always nagging about the focus.😅😢😢

    PTZ Move 4k 30x
    PT Joy G3
When I turn on Auto Tracking it disables my Joy G3. Is that intended? Or how do I fix?
I also would like to add the Auto Tracking on/off to the button on the joystick for Joy G3. Is that possible?
I noticed when the auto tracking is turned on. It goes to its default home position. Is there a way to assign a new home position?
Thank you for what you do!

      Hello!
Thanks for your questions, and for using our cameras and joysticks. Let's get these answered.
      1. Yes, when tracking is on you cannot control the camera with the PT-JOY-G3.
      2. No, you need a custom button or add the HTTP command to a joystick. This will only work with the PT-JOY-G4 or the PTZOptics Superjoy.
      3. It goes to preset 0 when tracking is turned on, if you save a new preset 0 it will go to that position. Open the Move 4K web UI and make the change there.

We use the Move 4K 30X for our church service livestream. Portions of the service we want wider congregation shots without auto tracking enabled, but then during the sermon we would like auto tracking to follow the speaker. We are controlling the PTZ camera from a separate media room, and therefore we are not within range to use the IR remote. Can you turn auto tracking on and off quickly from the Web UI?

    • @PTZOptics

Yes. You can turn auto tracking on and off via the control tab in the web-UI

How to turn off the camera when it’s connected via POE? We have 2nd gen PTZ and HuddleCamHD Joysticks connected via visca cable. Do I have to still use a remote control?

Hi! You don't really need to turn off your camera. Once they are setup with NDI, they are good to go.

Is there a way to adjust the tracking motion on the 4k move. First time using the motion seemed a little jerky.
