There was a movie back in the early 80's where this kid crawled into a house from the front porch. He made a room under the stairs, put peep holes in the walls to watch the young girls living there. He was eventually caught! Be cautious because some people are just that freaking crazy!!

Stories like this are the reason why I wanna live in a small house, no basement or attic or even crawl spaces. I must be able to know every corner of the house, because there's one to many crimes where the intruder had be living in the house for months but went unnoticed. Though some people took note to their food going missing, which in itself is a red flag some ignored.
I live in one of the safest countries, but still grateful that I live in an apartment building on the 3rd floor, I never had to worry someone breaking in. The only entrance is my front door which is also gated and padlocked. Seeing Americans having glass on their front/back door with just a simple lock gives me anxiety 😥
Lessons learned so far: Never watch these videos before bed… also… never have a basement, an attic or a bed with space under it… just a mattress on the floor. Oh and never have a closet. Basically, have cameras everywhere and review the footage down the street the same day before going home with an ax, sword, flame thrower and a mace sprayer on your key chain…in case an intruder is there and takes everything from you… at least you have the mace… that stuff stings.💗😂
There was a tiny door in my bedroom growing up. Always felt like something horrible was going to come out at night. Finally peaked in (during the day) and saw it was empty and for storage. In retrospect, somebody could have totally lived in there.

A father and 2 daughters lived there. Wife had recently died. He’d been living in their walls for weeks, playing tricks on them. Whenever they reported it to their dad, he brushed it off as they were grieving and didn’t believe anything they said. One day they ran out of the home terrified (hearing noises, things moved around house, destroyed, writing on walls). The father went in and discovered him dressed as his deceased wife (no story of being tied up). a struggle ensued, he escaped and the father noticed he just disappeared all of a sudden. The police were called and when they arrived they discovered there was a crawl space he was hiding in. It connected to many different areas of the house. He’d been living in the walls for weeks. There’s probably a few variations of the story because it’ has such a cult-like status.

The father went in and discovered him dressed as his deceased wife (no story of being tied up). a struggle ensued, he escaped and the father noticed he just disappeared all of a sudden. The police were called and when they arrived they discovered there was a crawl space he was hiding in. It connected to many different areas of the house. He’d been living in the walls for weeks.
There’s probably a few variations of the story because it’ has such a cult-like status.
