This type of product is why i never buy anything but streamlight. You guys knocked it out of the park with this one. Well done guys.
Thank you so much!
Not only an Industry leader, but Streamlight cost less then the competitors lights.
Fun EDC light, will have to get one and try it out! Thanks for sharing!
Alot better video then the first one. Nice close ups. I can't wait for this light so I can review it on my you tube channel.
Nice design! Wish the switch a dimmer from 0-300 lumens. Wedge Pro perhaps 😀
Great idea, I'd buy that forsure!
Had the same idea. I’d pay double for that
Super cool little light. I am sure I will pick one up and add it to the collection. I just hope when that when carrying it, I don't mistake it for my Ultratech. That would just be embarrassing...
Very cool, just got one ordered. 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice light
Diggin it. Nice. I may “need” another light. Lol! Ok. Maybe not. I do like the other guys comment about making the switch being a dimmer dial on future iterations. Sometimes I want 5-10 lumen, or 100, or 200.
If you guys make a warm color flashlight it would be my new favorite flashlight.
Streamlight is my favorite brand. The protac 1a and the microstream and the macrostream are all great sizes. Light enough to carry in a pocket
It looks like its design is based off of an otf knife ie the Microtech Ultratech. Which is cool because I have a coyote colored Ultratech and they'll make a super cool set. Now when will we be able to get these lights?!?
Wedge will be hitting dealers in April!
I just want to know what size bit to use for switching the pocket clip over? My paperwork claims that streamlight used a Phillips screw; that is incorrect. I have tried every size of Phillips from a #1 on down to #000 with no luck. So maybe streamlight can verify what the bastard screws are on their product? Just want to add; I love this light and carry it every single day and use it every single day for both work and around the house or whatever my day gets me into! I just want to switch the pocket clip because my knife rides in my right pocket. I run it in my left pocket and have to roll it in my hand to line up the switch.
Charles, sorry to see you are having some troubles with this! If you give our customer service team a call they should have an answer ASAP: 800-523-7488
keep looking around can't wait for this light. I have been seeing a couple more reviews out there hopefully it releases soon. Who do I contact to review one?
Matt, thank you for showing interest. Do you have a social media account you can DM us on with your reviewer information? We would connect right through here but CZcams doesn't have that option.
@@StreamlightTV I do mattdewitt1 on Instagram. I have applied for your review program. No much momentum on it after sending it back. Look forward to a DM from you.

I hear you say that the usbc port is water resistant, but without a cap, how do you stop crap from getting in there?
Our customer service specialists can help with your question. Please give them a call at 800-523-7488 or email cs@streamlight.com.
is ther a a version that has, let's say 80 lumen for extended battery? or a custom setting?
Our customer service specialists can provide the best recommendations. Please give them a call at 800-523-7488 or email cs@streamlight.com.
How many years does the battery last in the wedge flashlight? At the end of battery life, can the consumer replace the battery? Does the manufacturer offer battery replacement or just the flashlight then become disposable?
Steve, we'd recommend contacting our customer service experts for all of your questions: 800-523-7488
Wish it had a low lumens also. Like 15 lumens. Low. Medium and high out.
When will the pocketmate usb be available in the u.s?
It should start hitting retailers this month!
As much as I like the new crop of lights, as a flashaholic, they seem to all share the same design issue. When the fancy Lithium proprietary cells, usually a mylar pak, will no longer hold a meaningful charge, you have to throw this $80 light in the trash. That's crazy! They should at least have the option to have the factory change out the cells for a reasonable charge. I have many lights from many manufactures, including Streamlight. I avoid any with factory sealed batteries. IMHO. What do others think?
Agreed!
How long till battery wont function anymore ?
On the 300 lumen mode, the battery lasts 3 hours
How do I get a new battery from the uk.
We'd recommend contacting a UK retailer near you! Find one using this tool: apps.streamlight.com/dealerlocator/international_results.aspx
How many charges can this battery take?
I can't find anything about that in our online guides, I would run that by our customer service tech experts: 800-523-7488 or CS@streamlight.com
Where are these made?
Most likely in china
Can I get my wedge fixed by the company?
Our customer service specialists can help with a repair. Please give them a call at 800-523-7488 or email cs@streamlight.com.
No cover for the charge port? What a deal breaker. A simple piece of rubber and I would have bought 5 of them. I have to go with the Olight Arkfeld.
You know you could just buy a pack of silicone USB C plugs for a couple dollars. I trust stream light alot more than olight
That one is to long, the xt seems to be to short. No tail switch, no strobe not good for tactical applications. Now, will there be anything coming that is in between those two? There should be more variants of light with that form factor.
We appreciate your feedback and will send it to our development team!
The switch really turned me off, :/
Saw these on the MAC tool truck. I was interested but declined to buy due to the limited colors.
We need bright easy to spot colors for our tools...too many small expensive tools have been left on the floorboards of cars.
I get that your going for a tactical look and tactical gear is none reflective and matte in finish. But think of the civilian uses for hiking, camping, walking the dog.... If I accidentally drop this light on the ground, while hiking or camping, I wanna see it in low light. Bright colors will fix that need.
clean pocket carry..... as if there's a dirty pocket carry?
Hi Mike. Regards from Mexico. Jose Ruiz.
Returned mine, the switch sucked and completely failed when hands are just the slightest moist from hand sweat. Impossible to turn on in a critical situation. Not recommended for any duty use. Its a toy
When will this flashlight hit the european retailers?
We've been working on shipping orders, including international ones, ASAP - so hopefully very soon!
How much?
Thanks for your interest! We don’t sell direct. Please contact an authorized Streamlight dealer for pricing: apps.streamlight.com/dealerlocator/how_to_buy.aspx
Need a updated version with a button where the type c port is
It’s too long. Make the same light but shorter. Yes I know the battery life will be less.
Take the switch and mount one on the back. Left low beam right high. Middle off. Satisfies those complaining it has no tail button. Or better a modular light. Bulb is one unit. Switch another. Battery/clip another. You can mount the switch module between the bulb and battery or at the end of the battery. So the light is 3 pieces. Have a center screw post or some kind of system so it all stays together. This option is much more complex. Call it the wedge PCL. Perfect Carry Light.
Simple. You’re welcome.
No strobe, I will pass it. I m an electrician and always need a strobe function to find a wiring path.
Wrist lanyard.. ? You mean keychain sized piece of paracord.. ?? Wow. Way to go all out on the accessories. Chinese Manufactured. $150. Solid pass. They even skimp on the extra* short USB-C charging cable.
Cool design, cool idea, but why rechargable? 👎
Why not?
@@TobyCostaRica because after 200x recharges you can throw it away, you cant repair it, i some situations i have no time for a recharge.
@@shorty7943 you said you like the design, they are only able to achieve this form factor by going rechargeable lithium ion. How much would 200-400 CR123s cost you? And you can’t top off either so you either are using up batteries completely and carrying spares or swapping batteries before it’s fully discharged. Also if you’re in the market for this type of light I imagine you have another light.
I’m sick of replacing batteries. If I can’t recharge it, I don’t buy it.
Just put your gear on the charger every day after work. We do this with our cell phones every day, what’s the difference.
I trust the lithium technology from stream light. I have a strion that’s been going strong for five years on the same cell.
@@Shirkatron What do you do during a prolonged power outage? Emergency situation, broken charging cable when you are somewhere, on the way your battery is empty and you have nowhere to charge. There are countless reasons why even the military does not use rechargeable lamps, they use cr123 batteries for a reason.
And I hate it when you can't replace a battery, that's the biggest bummer of all. You can throw away the dirty lamp if the battery is defective. Why is the battery permanently installed in the device, and not replaceable by myself. F*** all companies that install non-replaceable batteries in any electrical device.
