Don’t listen to the doubters dude, I have been having a good time with frost dk as well in S4. I am not saying its perfect, the spec still has major issues, but damn is it fun blasting with this spec and its only week 2!

Thanks for the content! Frost is still by far my most favorite melee spec due to the active playstyle and the aesthetics. Numberwise its actually fuckin strong in S4 M+, amazing AoE burst on a short cooldown and really good ST (which is rare for a melee spec to have). What the spec could really use is a buff to the (auto)attack range. Not necessarily those stupid af paladin levels of range, but +3-5 yards would mean a world of a difference. Wiggly tanks drive you fuckin insane considering youre already locked on your dnd positioning.

Hey friend, I like your guide but it has some errors in it. As someone mentioned previously in this comment section, casting DnD before Pillar makes you lose one cleaved oblit during your PoF window. That is a MAJOR loss in damage. You should also get the 4 PoF macros that are using an activator (FS,HB,GA and lastly Obliterate so you don't overwrite a proc). And a tip is that you do NOT use a DnD if it means you won't have one up for the entire duration of your PoF window :) Keep it up tho :)

Maybe im old-school or thought wrong. But i was told by better DK to not use slappy hands with ERB. Also for Entangle if u have the tracking timer you can use AMS to negate it unless you need to soak something. You can pre apply AMS and the entagle will be avoided, but if your in the vine already you can cast it and ignor it as long as it presist you wont get stunned best to use it with like 2-3 sec left on the root.
Should I be holding all of my CDs so they lineup? I’m struggling a bit with having subpar burst windows because I’m used to playing classes that don’t need to lineup
you can make the weak aura flash as well, somehow :)

Really nice video , but 4 set bonus gives You 20% more dmg from critical strikes , so honestly maybe frostwyrm fury at the beggining is not such a bad idea? U can sacrifice bonus dmg for frostwyrm and gain more dmg from obliterate crits instead ,what do You think?
You get a free Frostwyrms at the beginning of the PoF window. It casts it for you :) .
So for that entire window you've got the extra 20% crit damage.

@@ZucoWoW Hey Zuco , so is there a point getting 4 piece set bonus? Since we got +20% from mini frostwyrm activating pillar? Extra 20% is ok , but we will be using this inside pillar anyway and we already have 20% bonus so it is kinda useless?
@@Jankostorun The 4-piece gives us 20% more crit damage after enemies get hit by our Frostwyrm...
So when we cast PoF, we get that 20% more crit damage, which is obviously great for our Obliterates... Then we get the 20% again after we cast our Frostwyrm.
Since we have so much crit synergy, we are basically getting 20% more damage. Obliterate is the biggest part of our dps, so it's a great bonus. I've had some Obliterates crit for 900k.

you can pull that specific wa out of his pack and delete the rest. also its prty simple to make a new aura just watch a guide and you'll be good to go.👍

Those stats are fine... You're looking for 30-35% Haste, then as much Mastery as you can get. Something like 75%+ Mastery is solid.

Can you post your ideal stats? Like 30% crit, 30% haste and 80% mastery or so?
About 6500 Mastery (80% or higher)... You def want at least 30% haste... The rotation feels awful if you have less... Above 30% is ideal, but wherever you can stack Mastery, you should... Crit is less of a prio... Something like 4800 is solid.

Haste is really not that important since in M+ you'll be using frostfire pants anyways and they grant a ton of haste to skyrocket your burst. But 30% is a good place to be to not feel as clunky on bosses. Mastery diminishes hard after 70% and becomes significantly worse than crit, thats when you stack your crit as high as possible. If youre a failbob or really looking to push 15+ keys, vers is a solid consideration and worth having 20ish%.
You actually want to do Pillar, Glacial Advance, THEN Death and Decay, you lose 1 or 2 Oblit in DnD if you pop it before Pillar
You only lose 1 Oblit in D&D if you cast it first, then do Pillar + Glacial... Pillar is off the GCD... I think getting the guaranteed Oblit proc is way more valuable than the extra D&D splash damage. My Obliterate without a proc does around 30k. Inside D&D that's 90k damage. With a proc it's hitting for over 200k without any buffs.
The point is you are missing a cleave oblit at the end of the dnd window which is a huge dps loss. This is why its good to bank one KM before pillar. It is always numerically better to cast dnd inside of pillar window, always. When 3 or more targets present of course.
@@roberttorres7138 that last gcd should you be your dragon not a oblit. losing 1 is not that big of a deal.
Easy to put death and decay down with an cast at player macro the its just like casting a spell and you dont have to worry about placing it
That's not a great place to put it though... At least, not all the time... I've found I gotta be incredibly precise on my placement of D&D or else I'm really screwed on my damage... :)
Entangling affix directly counters Frost DK… it’s hard enough to maintain your DND uptime to deal damage. To have to run out of entangling right after you’ve dropped DND feels so bad :(

@@akgoebel You'd have to precast AMS before entangling comes out in order to actually block it. AMS does nothing if entangling is already on you. also, that's a huge waste of one of the best defensive buttons in the entire game.
@ZucoWoW this isn't true, you can cast it any time entangling is on you to negate the stun. This is an especially useful case the this defensive (this week) in this dungeon pool because of the already abundant area denial and our reliance on dnd
Yo, recently swapped to frost and it has been fun, but i am really struggeling with my st, i go from 360k befor first boss to like 250k after first boss, ik frost isnt rly strong on st bzt i had another frost in my lobby today and he consistently pumped, he ignored my w asking for help D:. Long story short, ya boy be struggeling

lol... It's honestly been really solid. Keeping up more than enough in the dps department and the control with Grips and Abomb Limb is crazy strong in M+. Tankiest spec in the game, i'm only ever dying to stupid swirlies or 8 bolster stacked minions. It's been great.
@@ZucoWoW frost dk is realy bad in season 4 it only has burst windows, and esp death and decay makes the class even worse. that spell should be removed, since all other class has cleave. look at paladin for example that can run around spamming spells with 0 trouble. we as a community should rally upp and say enough is enough. only time frost has been realy good was in wrath
@@coctailandy5864 It's not that bad at all... I've run nearly 100 keys now in season 4 and it's been really fun... Big burst windows are strong. Hit almost 2m dps on a couple big AOE packs... The better I get at this thing the more the damage will grow... Sure you have to play around D&D, which is annoying, but most classes have something they have to work around in order to do damage. It's just the nature of the game and I'm fine with it.
@@ZucoWoW it could be "quote" big, compared to other classes that are meta it is low, its been like that since pandaria, its good in the start of an expansion but the longer the expansion the less impact frost dks have. As a solo player i dont get into groups with bugs it is hard to lineupp ur cd's. if they removed death and decay and had oblit cleave 3 targets at all times the class would have been stronger. and it is very dependant on stats. without the tier pieces the outpust is very bad

if cleaving strikes were a killing machine proc effect (i.e not needing that fucking death and decay spell) this spec would be sooooooooo smooth
sucks are devs are hard headed and wont make simple changes.
