    I am glad you did this video. My Dr hadn't even heard of lipedema and everyone she sent me to knew less about it than I did from my own research on the standard of care and time in groups of people with lipedema. So it is very frustrating. I guess I'm just glad I have health care at all. But damn. I feel for all the people suffering with this disease. Especially people who have gone into their 60s and above undiagnosed and untreated. It's unacceptable. You shouldn't have to suffer and hate your body and have Dr blame it all on you and your weight. I am sending you all the biggest hugs.

    I have had lipedema for years and have always done everything doctors have told me. That I need to lose weight. Didn't matter if I walked 2 miles every day and ate 1300 lean calories a day for a year, the type of condition I had wouldn't budge. I even had a physical therapist tell me that I need to lose the weight and offered absolutely nothing to help me, as though I was a waste of her time. I never knew how uneducated providers are with conditions like this and all they keep saying is lose the weight. Well you can't! You have to do as you are very easily saying work on the cause of it!! I can't believe I have run across your videos! Everywhere I go the first thing people do is stare at my legs. It is the most uncomfortable heartbreaking feeling in the world. You isolate yourself and give up. Then you read Europe is light years ahead with their treatment which is to remove it and it is covered there. I would rather do a conservative approach first to get things moving and then hopefully stabilize it to a manageable condition! Thank you for putting your information online for those of us that have this condition! I just can't believe I found someone that understands what it is and some treatments that can help! ❤

    I appreciate your information, but us average people can't afford to be seen and helped by a specialist as yourself.
    I really wish doctors would take this into consideration.
    We deserve help just like everyone else. But yet, so many of still have to suffer and not be able to live a prosperous life.

      Exactly, nor are there even specialists in every major city. I live in Seattle, the only lipedema specialist I know of is in Southern California, locally there's only endocrinologists or plastic surgeons. So not only do people have either find money, and/or navigate insurance, but also hunt for a doctor who is actually qualified to diagnose the disease. And a lyphedema specialist is not one of them unfortunately. I know this because I called a few of them, and they gave the same answer. You would think that the "greatest" country in the world with the "greatest" health care in the world would have already figured this disease out, found the cause, found some type of cure, or at least a treatment, or medication, but no. Yet again, bigotry against a certain group, this time being the disfigured and obese, has prevented the so called learned ones from using thier education to help others improve thier lives. The fact that so many physicians bias has prevented them from even looking our way, because they just can't get over thier disgust pisses me off. It's a disease that has nothing to do with eating but with the we produce. It almost reminds me of a microlipomatosis condition in which our lipedema fat is made of a mass of tiny lipomae all bunched together. And when you see pictures of cross sections of that fat, it looks exactly that way. I'm so over the problems in our nation right now. Sorry to vent....Amerikkka is a dump 😔☹

    I’m so glad I found you. I moved to Georgia 4 years ago. I have had lymphedema since I was 25. I am 45 now. I work for a DME that sales the garments and the wraps. I started pumping my feet because of Wendy coming out. Long story short. I want to fight this. I just want to make sure I’m getting the correct compression garments. I will certainly look into fighting a specialist here is Georgia. Thank you for your post. ❤️

    I hope the mentioned video dealing with wound care is soon put on youtube, as I am at my wits end how to deal with mine. Mine just won't quit weeping, and I get actual open sores once the skin is compromised enough. My docs just shrug and say it can take months. Its been a year, and no improvement, and now the other leg has started a small leak. I'm at the point where I won't be able to afford the bandaging I use every single day. It would be wonderful to know if there's something else I can do because my physician seems to be limited in ideas other than to keep it compressed

      @@NaturalHealthResources but you can have a liposuction of lipedima that cures lipedema or at least give you a releif of the pain. There are sooo many lipedema surgents in the state. Can you please talk about it so people can be aware of this other option. I have been suffering with lipedema for years now, and just couple of weeks ago I learned what I have and also it could be curred by surgeries.

  • @salvacioneternaencristo4122

    Hi. I’m not sure, but I believe that this is what I have. If I began this treatment, how long would I have to wear the garment? Is this an all day thing? Is it for the rest of my life? Are you still in Florida?

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Před 6 lety

      Salvación Eterna en Cristo hi! Yes this is a lifetime of maintenance and care. I moved with my family up to Atlanta about a year ago. Still work with Floridians all the time. Yes compression would be daily. Each case varies. I incorporate a lot of helpful tools but Lack of compression will cause the legs and extremities to continue to swell over time.

    What do you mean by lazer therapy?

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Před 4 měsíci

      Laser therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation therapy, is a medical treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue. It's commonly used for various purposes such as pain relief, tissue repair, and reducing inflammation. The light energy from the laser penetrates the skin and is absorbed by cells, where it stimulates cellular processes that promote healing and reduce pain. Laser therapy is non-invasive and typically painless, making it a popular option for treating a wide range of conditions.
