  • I'm trying something new. I'm taking you on my journey on the bench voicing a new Nolatone design, the Junebug "The Graduate". It's a 5 watt single ended tube amp with some unique tonal options.
    Note that I'm tracking this straight in to the iphone camera app, no editing, no processing, just raw audio and video. Mic on front is a Beyerdynamic M160 and on back is a Sure SM56. No EQ, compression, reverb, or anything else on the guitar signals.

    Yeah man I am with you on the low end. Hard to tell if .022 from the previous video or .047 is better on the single ended. The 500pf sound would be great in a mix, however, that's what filters on a console were built for. Amp sounds great though. Thanks for letting us plebeians in on your decision process, it's really cool to see these stages of RnD. I need a Nola 'Doubly in my life. The one you built for MG is amazing.
